A cool morning, about 8C, the truck hadn't been started for a couple of months. But she started straight away.

I missed the landing, but went over and had a nice chat with the pilots while the paramedics tended to someone nearby. Fortunately the helicopter left without a patient.

Not sure if this aircraft has Ge90 or Rolls Royce trent, think Emirates have both. Was on a flight from Dubai to Phuket on 18,8,16.

This driver decided after passing taunton deane services, he wanted to come in , so he reversed up the exit slip road. Just goes to show how useless these eastern European drivers are.

Unbelievable sounding old school v8 with torque to match, it was in its sweet spot at around 1300-1400 rpm
That's a pretty low rev count for a V8 even for a diesel, Another crazy thing I've learned is that the Volvo's biggest inline 6 engines rev even lower (900-1000 rpm "sweet spot")
