Quick Question: Are There Gonna Be Echoes In This Lawl?

So, this is my first time competing on your series (having only seen The Announcers moveset) and this was a pretty good one. I enjoy Element Animations, and Jason always seemed like a good choice to represent it in Lawl. I'd say you've captured the surreal craziness of both the character and his source very well. Animation could be better, but overall a good represintation of Element Animations. You've got some pretty interesting picks here, but its the sillouttes from Nick Jr. and Cartoon Network I'm highly interested in (the latter especially, given I've gotten into their source material lately and I've wanted to see them in in Lawl since their inclusion in Odyssey's empty slot). Cheers to hoping big things will come your way for both you and Another Smash Bros Lawl Spinoff.

I get it’s the most recent but this is probably your best moveset imo. Now I actually watched all of The Crack and an Eggs Guide to Minecraft when I had the time before the moveset came out, and with all the knowledge I have of Jason’s source, I think this moveset captured it near-perfectly! I think all the moves are well chosen and executed with some fun looking functions while fitting the playstyle, like the Neutral Special (which I happened to have predicted) looking like a simple enough projectile, but the disappearing shield special option making it incredibly versatile. The Side Special (the only other special I predicted) is a well executed movement option for Jason that also has extra that makes George a great tool to have out, the Up Special was a clever way to combine multiple moment of Jason floating into one special that works pretty well overall, and the Down Special looks like a chaotic and fun stage control tool if left uncheck by opponents, and paired with everything else, it makes Jason a real force to be reckoned with. But they’re all balanced fairly well. I also really liked the Final Smash choice, thought that Doodlers attacks were creative, and the taunts (while a little lengthy) were pretty funny to see. I also liked the victory screen choices as well (though for the first one I think it’d be better if you showed Spud off to the side for better context) Finally seeing all the revealed silhouettes in action was a real treat for me as well, and the animation on them and just everything in general has gotten a lot better, especially in the cropping. If I had any gripes, I would probably say the characters only having one hurt sprite is a little noticeable in moments where they get hit multiple times (like the playstyle segment). I do get spriting all of them can’t be easy though (especially Plainrock), so it’s not something that’s a large issue for me overall. I also think you should hold off on revealing any characters, whether they’re silhouetted or not. A bloated roster of characters that aren’t done can be overwhelming, so I suggest laying off on it until at least the next 2 are out. (I’m still really excited for that newest silhouette I recognize and interested in what Browncoat have to offer) Overall this moveset was great and I’m really excited to see where your Lawl continues from here! Best of luck on it and writing the remaining three characters.

I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE JASON’S MOVESET :)

Apologies for giving such a super late review (and for unknowingly making it longer than I expected it to be), but this is a really good set! Even better than Red in some aspects. Now I’ve played a fair share of Doodle Jump before, but I never really considered him to be a mobile game character with much moveset potential compared to someone else like Red, but you managed to execute him pretty enjoyably with a fitting playstyle. I really like the way the main ability Doodler has is utilized here, since the Neutral Specials freezing function does allow for various types of set-ups and plays to occur (and is slightly OP but I’ll get to that shortly) The Side Special looks really fun to experiment with given all the extra variants and it’s zoning capabilities, The Up Special is both a good recovery and a good trap that doesn’t take up too much space to compensate for it being one of Doodlers strongest moves, all with a well chosen replacement recovery that makes placing the trap a trade off, which I like the balancing behind, And the Down Special is a pretty good way to incorporate the monsters into things with some territory control usage from them, and I like the synergy between them and the Neutral Special while being easy to defeat to make up for their hard hitting attack. (Though I feel like one at a time would be less overwhelming in some instances) As for the Final Smash, while being a semi-original Final Smash, it’s definitely the best pick you could’ve gone for, though I do agree with weirdperson on the heavy hit effect being overused there. Reds attacks were a treat to see as well, and Doodlers taunts and victories are pretty well thought out. In terms of my critiques: There could be more balancing on some moves, since the Neutral B freezing enemies for a whole second wouldn’t be that bad if it wasn’t super fast and spammable, so Doodler is really hard to approach for those who can’t counter it in some way, so maybe overusing it could make the effect be less effective (and its made even more crazy by it being usable while grabbed) The Animation on Reds up throw is pretty iffy, but the animation is pretty solid everywhere else, (Speaking of Red, I think the repeated sound in his shown victory screen could be lowered or muted at a certain point) And I think the HUDS obscure the characters too much on a lot of stages. But apart from those minor things, I really enjoyed this surprise character! I’m really excited for the newcomers, Plainrock especially, plus I’m interested in seeing a different take on Duck, and I’m intrigued on seeing how Vs MJ and SpongeBob turn out since after watching it, I considered the former to have more material than the latter. I’m hyped to see what you got panned for Jason, and I wish you the best of luck on him!

As someone who used to play Doodle Play as a kid, this moveset does a really good job at representing the game. Giving Doodle a Zoner/Mix Up really fits his playstyle. I also find it impressive with how much you had to work with. My only complaint is with the audio that is used for the Final Smash. I feel the Heavy sound effects you used was kind of repetitive in the segment that might just be a me thing tho. But Nevertheless, I can actually see this Lawl going somewhere, and I’m definitely looking forward to Micheal Jackson VS SpongeBob!

fine moveset, i feel that Side B and Up B could be switched, my only complain is that the Huds are WAY too big

This Was Easily Better Than The Announcer's Moveset, Not That It's Bad, It's Just That This One Is Just So Much Better Than That Moveset, Again I Will Rephrase That We Can Share Red And I Will Still Do This Moveset, But Man, Some Rewriting Will Have To Be Made So It Dosen't Clash With This. The Animations Are Much Better. And You Actually Cropped The Victory Screens Now (Even If Announcer's Is In a Chroma Key Background). I'll Take What I Can Get! Neutral B Is a Good Egnough Move, But If I Had To Nitpick It, The Scream He Does Should Probably Be Louder (Voice Acting Of Course), Side B Is What Angry Birds Is All About, So It's The Most Fitting Move Ever, Up B Is Fitting Too, Just Not As Well As Side B, Down B I Was Confused At First, But Then The Epic Gameplay Showed Up And I Got It, Final Smash Is Obvius And Probably The Only Move Aside From The Slingshot That Will Be The Same In Both Mine And Yours Take On Him, Overall, a Really Good Moveset.
