you know the people from "chirping friends" well and by their first name? you watched them for 8 minutes abusing your cockatoo but did not stoped them? as you explained you were present the whole time, why didnt you help when one person went to the phone? not your job huh? your only job is to make notes and keep track of the time? why do you bring your cockatoo to a pet-store for grooming? i would never bring my pet to a grooming appointment nor getting a pet in the first place if im to lazy to care for it. the only one here needs to getting blamed and sued is you, for doxxing their information and blaming them for something you could have prevent from happening... yea see it as a mean comment or how it meant to be, a friendly reminder that theres a law about doxxing someones information. file a law suit as you explained and let these guys solve your issue, i think theres not much they will do, you cant proof they killed your bird so dont blame them here on youtube.

People, who decide work in pet stores with live animals, and all the producer of animals, I wish only bad thing, and I don't care if it comes back to me! Really sad story about your loss Cockatoo, but probably one of the millions monthly. Stop cruelty of parrots, dogs, cats, bunny, etc. in pet stores!

Lousing a dear pet to negligence of extrangers is hard to overcome, since you will always feel that it could have been avoided. IT has been 5 years since your loss, I can only pray 🙏 that the remenbrance of such a lovable sweet life companion could have ease the pain and that now you can appreciate how lucky you are by giving him all the care and love he deserved. Sorry for that kind of loss with Tatoo ,,i lost my Grandmother from same kind of treatment. We are surrounded by meaness, people working by the hour never care. . Dont lose another moment thinking about those 2. Forget as fast as possible , get another Tatoo , go forward . Anyway there has to be some kind of animal & bird heaven. Tks.

Your tale is truly horrific and absolutely baffling. As someone who work at an animal rescue center, one of the cardinal rules when handling an animal is that hyperventilation and continuous blood pressure increases are absolutely unacceptable reactions that necessitate an immediate stop to any handling right then and there. The fact that this person not only did not stop the procedure and did not administer medication to calm the bird when it became obvious that it couldn't calm down on its own, but even had the gall to dismiss the reaction as a quirky habit of the bird shows a truly horrific level of incompetence. This is animal handling 101 when approaching any animal, including humans. As someone who handles animals for a living, I'm truly ashamed that there are people like this among us.

I am so very sorry about Tatoo. It is hard to believe that happened!!!! It breaks my heart!!! We had a cockatoo - Judy. My folks and I are home all day so for 15 years she was more out of her cage than in. My momma did the research and made sure Judy ate right and slept 12 hours (or at least covered 12 hours!!). When Judy needed her nails trimmed or feathers trimmed my momma held Judy the whole time. It made the whole process easy on Judy and go much faster. Judy was my daddy's bird and he got dementia. He fell a couple of times with Judy on his shoulder. And then she started plucking. My daddy didn't handle her very much and my momma and I tried to make up for it. We decided after 6 months after talking it over with the vet that Judy needed a new home. We had a friend who Judy liked. She was married and had some other family members living with her. We did the right thing. It took Judy about 1 year to start growing feathers. We did not go over to see her - our friend always brought us videos. We miss her so much. She brought a lot of joy and love to our lives.

I read your description above but as a non-bird owner I don‘t quite understand it. Tatoo deceased because his beak and nails were cut too deep? That‘s shocking. I could imagine bleeding but not dying from that. I‘m really sorry for your loss. ❤️ I love umbrella cockatoos - that‘s what brought me here.

That was just so silly... in the best of ways! These parrots are so expressive & intelligent; I never get tired of watching them.
