This is great. I wish you would have left the audience reaction at the end, as I'm sure you got a standing O! Well done!
Fantasticoooo. Bien por la flautista tb. !!!!!
Still great. January 2025.
This is one incredible project!
I first heard Thick As A Brick sometime in the 80's. I had to buy the album. This was back when EVERY house had a record player. I listened to side A then side B, then flipped it back to side A then side B. I listened about three times that first day. And countless times thruouy my life. It's nothing short of a masterpiece!!!
Thick as a Brick is THE BEST JT's LP ... I saw it live in 2013, in Brazil, with Mr. Ian Anderson... it was SENSATIONAL!!! ... and the cover performance in this video is wonderful !!!
I’m playing a 5 over 2 thing at 2:01 just to be a bit extra extra..
Still great. 3 December 2024.
Epic! Ian should be proud. 💯👍👍
Amazing, saw their performance of this at Bradely University right after they released the album. They walked up and started playing this for an hour or so. Then Ian said” and now for our next song”. Amazing
Fuckin nailed it!
Kudos to the sound engineer. I wish the original recording sounded this good.
Really awesome...hope you're all doing well!
Well done guys. A superb and successful attempt at a rather challenging composition.
Best Cover of this difficult but Amazing song!
Fabulous! Love that album I saw Tull three time! Fantastic that is a very hard album to learn. Best part the singer sounds like Ian Anderson and flute sounds like Ian Anderson kotos! To all of you blew me way! No ONE has ever attempted to play that whole album that I know of but you!
Watching now in 2024 from Thailand I'm even more impressed than the original I saw as an 18 year old in '77 in Rochester, NY, a version less than ½ the length! Audaciously performed with enthusiasm and smiles in abundance! Truly inspired! The first time in a couple decades that I listened all the way through. Thank you all! A decade plus after the fact, does nothing but burnish this amitious show. Very well mic'd permitting this dedicated prog rocker to enjoy each of the musicians contributions to the fullest. I'd love to hear a "where are they now?" anthology of stories. Bravo!
I am bowled over and I say that as a life long Jethro Tull fan. Please, can someone tell me the name of this band?
Brilliant! Only wish the vocalist would focus just a little bit more on hitting the notes, and embracing the feeling of the piece. Hope all these guys are super successful in whatever direction they chose to go.
Outstanding!
AWESOME Thank you.
Thank you for watching! 😃
Still great. 5 October 2024.
❤️❤️❤️
probably one of the few group of people in history to perform this all the way through like that. Its a pretty amazing thing. Amazing you got to meet ian anderson and the band!
Yes, there are certainly not too many.. And even for us it was only this one performance. Thank you for your appreciaction!
this is excellent, as it really dissects the songs and allows the laymen like me to understand it better. I have listen to this for three decades now, and now I can follow its distinct avenues.
I'm glad it helps you understand the song(s) better!! I haven't thought about this aspect yet. Thanks for watching! 😃
Great!
Thank you!
That was absolutely a joy to watch, killer band
Thank you so much for your kind comment!! 😃
Excellent.
Thanks for watching!
@@carloribaux I was around when that album came out. It was a hit, but we liked certain parts and would constantly lift the needle and try to find the part we liked. You guys are tight. I read that Ian Anderson said the album took about two weeks to record and another two or three for overdubs and mixing. Good job!
What parts did you like particularly? There are so many great ones!
@@carloribaux I have grown to like jazz in my older years. I liked the whole thing, but if I had to pick one moment, I would say that I enjoyed the instrumental section after the lyrics, "Teach him to play Monopoly and how to sing in the rain". Was there an audience? It would have been nice to hear their applause at the end if there was. Good job you guys.
That’s a great part! Especially because it goes into the drum solo. 😄 There as a good sized audience, but sadly the tape was cut before the applause really came in. But we got standing ovations!
Have mixed experience/feelings about TH-cam Algorithms. But the proposal which lead me here was one of the best suggestions ever. Absolutely Blown Away
Can't find appropriate words to express my appreciation!
I think you did though! I'm really happy you like our perfromance so much. Greetings from Switzerland!
PS: Da du schreibst: „Greetings from Switzerland“.
A great cover, bravo

Fine job.

great job guys
Thank you, and thanks for subscribing!
Good good good
Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D
I saw Tull perform Brick in '72 and it was masterful. Then they did a five song encore of biggies including Aqualung and Locomotive Breath. But the fun detail of the night was before the music began there were roadies on stage in workman's overalls attending to the setup. When the arena lights came down and the stage lighting came on the "roadies" took off their overalls and it was Tull! Just as the crowd realized it and began to roar, they ripped into the first number! This Berklee group does a sublime job; kudos to them.
What a cool way to start a show! I didn't know they did that!! So creative and funny. And I'm glad you're liking our performance. We tried our best to pay homage to JT!
Fantastic cover !!
Thank you so much!
The algorythm is scary, it brought me here. Thanks. 2024 love it.
Keep riding that algorythm wave! 😅 And I'm glad you like our performance!
FANTASTIC COVER GUYS!!!
Thanks so much!!
This is badass, I wanted to do this in high school but I couldn't find a worthwhile singer lol'
It wasn't easy to assemble this amazing group. And I didn't know how we all pulled it off! But it definitely helped that we were all studying music together at Berklee College and everyone was just open to insane projects all the time! I'm glad you like our performance and I'm sorry you couldn't find a singer.
Vocals detract greatly from this cover. Ian's tones are virtually impossible to match. Keyboard improvisations a pleasant surprise. My grade: C+
Thanks for watching! The vocalist arguably had the hardest job of us all. We actually got graded an A for this. The Berklee profs were easier on us! 😃
So glad you put this out. What a great story.
Thanks for listening! I had contemplated doing a video on all the comments for a long time. I'm glad somebody's actually watching it! 😃
This was great. And I'm delighted this popped up in my feed. In 2024. . Love Tull. But whatever possessed you all to tackle this? Who among you even knew about Tull in 2013? anyhow, great job.
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I had been listening to Tull since I was about 12 years old or so. So it was natural for me to want to do a project like this. I'm not quite shure who all knew about Tull before starting the project. I sure know Andre and Pedro are huge 70s prog fans and Raul is a Jethro Tull fan. I think Johannes and John are too, but I'm not 100%. The rest were just in it for the adventure of it! The occasion was my bachelor's concert at Berklee College.
Great to see a bunch of Berklee brats taking on such a difficult piece of music 🎸 Only kidding about the “brats.” 😂
Thanks! I'm glad you like our performance!! 🎉🎉🎉
It feels very strange to be the prince without the guitar
This might be the strangest comment I‘ve ever gotten. What am I missing here? 😄
@@carloribaux Sorry, use Google translate I didn't want to say prince
@@marcusbellogallardo4010 Ah, it's a Google Translate problem! That makes sense. Well.. I still wonder what you tried to say. Maybe you can write it in your native language? 😃🤘

Congratulations! É muito difícil tocar a versão original de Thick as a Brick. Sensacional! Estou impressionado como é igual a versão original.😊😊👋👋👋
I translated your comment. Thank you so much for your kind words!! I'm glad you enjoyed our video. 😃
Now there is a stage packed with pure talent. As a forever Jethro Tull fan, I'm officially stoked. 8th or 10th time listening to this, I lost count. Bravissimo! 🎶
Thank you so much for your kind words. They mean even more knowing you are a huge Jethro Tull fan!! Please keep watching! 😃 I also made a little video about the background of this performance, you can find it on my channel if you're interested!
very buenos...
