Why You Don't Need To Colour Grade
มุมมอง 3639 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This is for the beginner that finds it daunting to start making videos. Everyone wants their footage to look nice and perhaps you may not know how you can do that so this video is to show that you don't need to know everything at the start. Just a couple of tweaks in your camera settings is all you need sometimes. Happy new year and looking forward to making more videos in 2025 :)

Having finished Singapore's mandatory National Service, 4 young men fought for tickets for Hyukoh and Sunset Rollercoaster's AAA tour when they came out and planned an adventure around it. The trip made it out of the group chat.
Why I'm Not Buying The Fujifilm X100VI
มุมมอง 1.6K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
I usually disagree with better gear equals to better images but that's what the Fujifilm X100T did for me. But it wasn't the specs of the camera that helped me, it was the shooting experience, practicing the fundamentals and enjoyment that lead to the growth of my photography

Photos were taken by my friends and I on a range of cameras both digital and film. I attempted to use a flash for the first time with my film camera but it didn’t sync properly. Cameras Digital: Canon R6 Fujifilm XE4 Film Nikon EM Canon EOS 5 Mamiya C220 Song: Arcade Fire - Sleepwalker

I wanted this video to be a reflection of the day time shots from my previous video. The brightness of the day feels more like a warm embrace like a friend keeping you company while the night evokes a sense of solitude, being a little more distant. I found it a little difficult to expose night shots where it seemed naturally dark, had little digital noise but still bright enough for detail in t...

Been wanting to practice colour grading for awhile now so I'd like to document my progress. I brought out the Pocket 4k paired with my vintage nikkor lens and went out for a walk. I was blessed with good sunlight that day.
Really great video! I especially love your song choices. Keep creating!
@@_smfilms_ thank u so much for ur kind words haha :)
What camera are you using? And also what camera should I get as a beginner for my first ever camera. I want to shoot cinematic videos like you.
I used a Fujifilm XH2S for this video. You could look into the Fujifilm XM-5 or any of Sony’s cameras 👍🏽
great work, love your music choice here
Thanks a ton!!
Very cool
all for the dad lore 🔥
Beautiful work my friend, this hike looks and sounds so atmospheric! Love it
love the video ❤
Really love the shots from the camera. Did you make a custom recipe or edit them in Lightroom?
@@john.vanzijl Hi! I used a recipe from one of The Big Negative’s video but I slap my personal lightroom preset on top of it and adjust the intensity of it depending on the photo
Wow, really great video and storytelling.
Took awhile to get the sequence of the story right hahah but thank you I appreciate it!!
subscribed! rly love the shots!
@@JuliusDeterala thank u so much that rly means a lot 🙌🏽
Embrace the shadow! love this!
Love it! What grade misting filter do you use in most of your shots? Also would you share your simulation recipe?
@@jordycoops I used a tiffen 1/2 promist filter for the first year and a half of using the camera to emulate the soft filmic look but as of recently I haven’t been using any filters on it. The simulation recipe I used is created by my friend @gin.tarsui here on yt. Can check his videos out as well!! Classic Chrome, DR200, WB 2950K Red +8 Blue -9, H -2, S -1, colour 2, sharp -4, high iso -4, Colour chrome strong. He uses an XE4 so there are more things to customise but you can just apply it to whatever settings ur camera has which is what i did. Feel free to play around with the Red n Blue values of the WB depending on lighting situation.
Amazing stuff bro
@@marc7073 that means a lot, thank you! 🙌🏽
Sick pics! I got the x100t too before the hype. Really couldn’t bring myself to getting the overpriced Fuji these days. Any tips on shooting in lowlights and any film recipes to recommend? Keep up the good work man!
Hellooo! I think for myself when I’m shooting in lowlight I tend to hunt for the available light in scene (street lights, lamps, car lights) and expose for that and let that be the focal point of the shot because everything else can just be in the shadows. Most of the time I’ll have my lens wide open and ideally at 1/125 if not 1/60 is sooommeewhat useable. As for film recipes I’m using one that I got from one of The Big Negative videos on here and slap on my own personal preset to keep a consistent look through my images. I also use another classic chrome recipe that was customised by a friend and leave that SOOC usually.
👏
peak
what does the mountain say though
Great ❤
This doesn’t look like tekong🤨
It’s amazing!!!! I love it <3
Got it from TH-cam recommandations ! Keep up the great work!
I miss this country
this is lovely :)
Thank you!
Great work! Looks so good 👏
I quite liked the 16mm film emulation and also the vintage 28mm 2.8 lens is a great choice! I love old nikkor lenses. Btw I make short films, I’ve just filmed one about a young painter in Sweden, if you don’t mind I’d greatly appreciate it if you checked it out Jason, thank you! :)
Glad you liked it! Checked out your films and I loved the storytelling :)
i love how the dreamy-like essence of the photographs and videos complements the pace and how soothing the song is. what a feel-good video. keep up the good work.
