I sew professionally and rotary cutter is not a tool I use for cutting a pattern. For quilting, yes, if I have straight lines, otherwise I use only scissors.

I have dresses with facings too. It depends on style I want. Also, this dress has deep neck and it is easier for beginners to sew bias tape than facing witch I like to be with hidden edges.

Yes, Tulip dress is without darts because it is shift and loose style. Others will be with darts.

I can’t make a video, because it is not possible :) first, you have to export patterns to other format suitable for any graphic program and only then make in formats you need. That’s how I do.

What application do you currently use to create print files?

Hi! Dress has wide fit, so difference between body measurement and finished garment is called ease. This ease gives form to any garment and comfort putting garment on and off. Always select your size using body measurement. If you want a bit closer fit, select one size down.

Yes, color does matter, but we can select color from wide range of shades. In this video I used jeans blue linen, very bright and beautiful, but I guess filter made it a bit pale.

I’ve just purchased this pattern as a beginner - I’m confused by the pleat settings. They don’t seem to be the same width apart - is that correct? Can someone explain how to sew them please
