I seriously want to know if we have to commit s*icide in order to be born again?
No! The New Testament describes being born again (saved / regenerated) as something that happens as we put our faith in Christ (trust in his death for sins and his resurrection from the dead) and repent of sin (turn away from the wrong that we have done and turn towards God in order to strive to live for Him). The beauty of this is that Jesus stood in for us as our substitute when he died on the cross, taking on himself the consequences of sin that we deserved. There is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus. We can live in freedom with no fear of death if we are trusting in Christ and following him. This doesn't mean we will live perfect lives as Christians. We still struggle with sin. But there should be a struggle. We should hate our sin and fight against it. In this life we will have to fight with sin, but our hope is that Jesus will make us like himself when he returns, and we will not have to deal with sin and death anymore.
Thank you Pastor David. The Lord heard this beautiful prayer for my country Ivory Coast. I have been in the training and I testify that I have been lifted up. Have a safe trip home! Thank you Lucy brothers, God save you. Amen
So well done ❤️
I love you!! Thank you for sharing!! Our Heavenly Father made a way! Your testimony is so pure and sincere. You've touch my heart.
Sorry about the technical difficulties. We had a system failure. Part 2 can be found here: th-cam.com/video/rB0RqjEzPjo/w-d-xo.html
Jesus is NOT God Almighty....Jesus is the Lamb of God, the Living Tabernacle of God and the only way to the Father. Is Jesus God? No, he tells us that over and over! Jesus died on the cross (Lamb) and on the 3rd day, God raised him! In the beginning was the word (1 John 5:7 kjv) and the word was with God, and the word was God. The word....not Jesus but the word. Beginning....of what? Mark 1:1 kjv....beginning of the Gospel of Christ! What does Duet 18:18 kjv say? Take a look at Acts 3:22 and Acts 2:22 kjv....not enough? What did Messiah say? John 12:49-50 and 14:10 and 14:24 kjv. What is Jesus? The Tabernacle or Dwelling place of our Father Ephesians 2:20-22 kjv. Did Christ pray to our Father? Yes, he even asked to remove this cup (Crucifixion) Mark 14:36 and Luke 22:43 kjv "Not my will, but thy will be done" and he did exactly as the Father commanded him. Please understand, the only way to our Father is through Messiah our mediator, our Grace! So, I ask you; Is Jesus God Almight or is he our King and High Priest? Isaiah 43:15 kjv
The prologue of John's gospel is "bookended" by discussing the relationship between two persons. At the beginning of the gospel, those persons are described as "God" and "the word." But as the passage continues, it says, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." The "word" is identified as the "only Son" who is from "the Father." This is undoubtedly Jesus. The phrase "only Son" is repeatedly used in John's gospel to refer to Jesus. So at the end of the "bookend," the two persons are identified as "the Father" and "the Son." So, "God" is "the Father," and "the word" is "the Son." The prologue ends with: "For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known."
Love listening to my Brother and former Pastor!
Application Questions: - What does it mean when Paul says that we have peace with God? - In what ways do we have access to God? - How do we rejoice in hope of the glory of God? - How do we rejoice in suffering? How does that look differently than how the world reacts to suffering? - What does Paul mean when he writes “God’s love has been poured into our hearts”? How does that change the way we live?
Application Questions: 1. What are some Biblical evidences that can give us assurance that we love God and therefore can claim Rom. 8:28? 2. In what way given in v.29 does God work things together for good in our lives? 3. In what supreme way has God shown us that He is for us according to vs.31-34? 4. According to vs.35-39 what cannot separate us from the love of Christ? 5. How should these verses encourage us as we face this coronavirus crisis as Christ followers?
Awesome great job I loved it
Questions to discuss this week based on the sermon: Spend time highlighting all the good that God can bring about through this virus, our quarantine, and the church being scattered. What type of circumstances were the recipients of 1 Peter under? How are those different/ the same as the ones we find ourselves in today? Make a list of your favorite songs to sing during a time like this. Share with others why these songs give you hope. What hope does the world have to offer? Why are they insufficient? How does our new life in Christ and the resurrection give us hope? What does Peter mean by “living” hope? How is doctrine practical? How should Christians during this time look different than the world?
