I read far more of the books than I care to think of, but one of the things I grew tired of was how misogynistically I thought the majority of the female characters were written. They feel entitled to have their power over men and other women, ignoring their own faults and flaws, whereas the male characters didn't have that trait. I feel like I was being manipulated as a reader into disliking all the female characters, in preparation for being satisfied with them getting their comeuppances at some point. I liked reading the male character sections, but started to skip through the female character sections. My sister had the same observations, and eventually we just stopped reading the series. It looks like the series writers may have taken that aspect out, but the interpretation is now so different from what I remember from the books that it seems all they bought the rights from the books for was the title and the character names.

To bad she gets to play a scuffed version. The book version is way better this show is crap
