Ouray is a small mining/tourist town in a long narrow valley. The mountains nearby contain hundreds of gold and silver mines. Only a few are still operating due to the operating costs. I took a Jeep tour up the rough roads in those mountains. Beautiful scenery. I love these mountains. This is the morning tour. Enjoy
Exploring the Telluride Area May 2024

Telluride is a popular ski resort area. It's a beautiful and expensive town up high in the San Juan Rockies. This video gives you a short tour around town, then traveling SR-145 to the south to Mountain Village (on the south ridge above Telluride), Ophir and Rico. All of these towns were gold mining towns. The video is loaded with beautiful mountain scenic views, and a treat at the end. Enjoy.

Mesa Verde Segment #2 May 2024

Segment #2 starts at Hemenway House at the south end of the park and continues to more archaeological sites and the museum. Then we go back to the north entrance to the park. It's interesting, educational and has many beautiful scenic vistas. I hope you enjoy it.

Mesa Verde Nat'l Park is a very special place and a huge place. Segment #1 is mostly a driving tour. You enter the park at the northernmost point and drive to the southernmost point. Lots of windy/curvy roads, scenic vistas and a couple of cliff dweller sites at the end.

I took my Mustang across from Silverton To Ouray 2 years ago during the fall...The changing colors were vivid!....Must do the trip again in the fall!
