Good educational video. Thanks for posting.
there are many different coaxial cables and some of them are really thick too. Those would be the kind of cable never seen by average people like me.
what is the best cable for an outside tv antenna?
hi sir please tell me what type of cabel good for signal and communication? 50ohm or 75ohm?
Ohm is the resistance of the cable. So the lower the better for your signal. It also allows you to carry higher frequency signals over a longer distance. 50 ohm is quite a bit more expensive. Also your connectors should be suitable for 50 ohm. Otherwise you might as well go for 75 ohm
@@hornetIIkite3 i see thanks sir for advice heee good job sir..
Very informative video. So what coaxial cable would be recommended for an FM directional outdoor antenna which will go into my home audio receiver.??? Steve Thank you.
I'm trying to upgrade our home coax cable We use it for internet only. I was wondering which one of these cables would work best for that purpose ( Our house is built in 1999) Also what do you think about a coax fiber hybrid system, the connection at the NID is coax, I currently have a cable from the attic running into a splitter and directly have it connected to my upstairs network closet where it connects to a modem and then to a router.
Why can't there be a best universal solution for any application instead of 4? The goal should be to block out all outside interference and offer no dc resistance to be able to make mile long runs pole to pole. Im not sure that the coaxial cable the cable and satellite providers use is really that great. They just cheap out. I can't control the coaxial cable they use on the poles. But I can upgrade the coaxial cable coming from the pole running directly to my house.
Also having a cable jacket that is uv resistance, designed for direct berrial, and in wall use, flame retarded, commercial grade helps too.
The steel center is also used for overhead cables that need strength for support. Do NOT use regular cutters for steel center cable. You will ruin them.
1 question. If I want to buy rg6 cable is it better to buy higher db or lower db? for example on ebay it says rg6 10m 135db or 120db. Thanks
This was a damn good video 👍😍🤩
Great pictures to clarify topic
Which co axial cable is best to carry 2100MHz 3G cellular signal.... one with copper guard (shielding) or Alumininum guard ?
Alum unless you have to solder or it's super low freq. (so i've read)
So is Quad Shielded cable or SDI better for in home use for TV throughout the house?
hii can you please tell me what kind of cable i should use for making a custom A/V (Audio Video) 3RCA cable 10 mtr length to connect digital tv box to my tv
There is only one connection per wire. A pure copper speaker wire should be sufficient for your purpose
Very nice description. Gives sense that you and your company value quality products delivered to your customers.
Awesome. I learned a new word: stanchion. I'll never use a cable caddy again with a reel in a box. Did SNL use the advantage box for the dick in a box skit? No kinking is important. What's the deal with long john shirts and polo shirts not tucked in. You guys look like you're wearing mini-skirts.
hi all if you could just help me, would appreciate it much, i have a camera running for as long as 267Meters about 8 of them, what would you suggest to wire this up, thanks
Very helpful thanks.
Hi Interesting video. I have just started using VMIX for live multi camera editing and was planning on running SDI 1080 over Beldon RG6 QUAD coax. Commonly my runs will be up to 30M but some will be maybe 60M. I have about 300m of the RG6 left over from a job I did 10 years ago and its in 50 and 100m lengths at present. Its terribly bulky and hard to coil so the option is there to ditch it buy RG59. A tech friend tells me the "strandard Dual Shield" type is the go. Here are my questions; 1. Is RG59 fine for smallers runs say up to 30m? 2. Would joining 2X RG59's meana a possible loss in quality? 3. Is joining a RG59 to a RG6 cable an issue? Thanks in advance, Regards Martin Duffy
Very nice and informative video explaining the types. One small thing to note: CATV comes from the term Community Antenna Television... I came across this in watching very early training videos at Comcast Cable Corporation. No worries, I made the same assumption. Cheers.
Can I use a balun to test an ip camera to my BNC test monitor (spot monitor)
Hiring Woody Harrelson to narrate was a nice touch.
Once you read this comment you can't stop hearing him lol
If I had a dime for every pixel in this video I would have a nickel.
HI there. was wondering if you can use a IP camera and use a balun to go to a regular BNC connection to a DVR using the cat 5?
Skewbie Dewbie Dew what are you? UTP or CAT5 E now?
