Iv just had a court assessor speak to my 5yr old son & I had told her about my concerns if oerental alienation even though he lives with me. My ex is trying to get full custody. My son told the assessor he hates me, he wishes he never saw me ever again then he could live with his dad. He told them I don't feed him, he sleeps under the bed in the back room. He only loves his dad & not me. The relationship with my son is severely damaged. He is aggressive towards me & when he comes home from his dads at the weekends he is very difficult. No one is listening to me about this. They have taken my 5yr old word & to make matters worse, the assessor questioned my son in school for nearly 2hours & now the teacher has turned against me & thinks I'm neglecting him because she just heard his words of hate towards me & is totally biased now. Whereas b4 i had an ok relationship with the school. Never had a problem with them. This is extremely distressing. His dad is doing untold damage to my son now & for his future relationships. Especially mine & my sons.

All this is a problem that is shockingly simple to solve. The mother and father cannot both have “thefinalsay” at the same time, but it could be sequential and automatic as the default position, unless the courts determine otherwise and after Mediation has been tried and failed. This sequential approach is the fallback position and is based on the theory of human maturation which needs:- 1. The unconditional love of the mother from birth until about 6 years old. The mother has "the final say". 2. The conditional love of the father who takes his children out into the world and teaches social boundaries, from about 6 years until 12 years old. The father has "the final say" The friendship and respect of peers from 12 years until 18 years old. The child has "the final say". Such an arrangement would be largely court free being based on protocols, which would tend to bind both parents into a joint and co-operative relationship.

I am a mother and it happened to me. There is no excuse for this to still be swept under the rug when clearly it's child abuse!! What's it going to take to get the judicial system to get off their a#% and do something about it. It's not rocket science. I have no studies in law or anything yet I have a few ideas. We're not listened to at all..hello!! Guess that's why it always takes numbers to get anything accomplished and be heard. So how do we start?!

The laws must change to hold parental alienators accountable. And just like in sexual abuse cases, eliminate the statute of limitations to bring criminal and civil cases against the alienator (usually the mother).

Im waiting to see in my case who wil admit that my child suffers parental alienation/in order for a 4years old to make a high acusation /whene the police & social services can't find a prove. But then the same child states he misses his father to social services. Only because the mother does not want to acept the previous court order. Now in the best interest of my son i need to protect him applying for a residence order to be overturn. Or more damage wil be done to the child

Unfortunately the Courts in the UK dont take Parent Alienation seriously as USA/Canada. If your a Father you have very little chance of an outcome that will help you have an equal relationship with your children. The Court is only interested in the safety and wellbeing of the Children NOT you. Once Cafcass gets involved, everything becomes ten times worse and it grinds to a halt. As painful as it is, whatever it takes, avoid going to Court. If you go to Court you will portrayed as the bad guy to your kids. Be patient, it may take some years, and always be nice to the children's Mother, no matter what.

Thank you for posting the video it will be a help to anyone in this situation. Especially now that the World Health Organization has recognized Parental Alienation as Child Abuse there is no more excuse for any man or woman to do this. BUT from personal experience i must warn every targeted parent out their NOT to discuss matters about your child directly with an Alienator as it will get deliberately twisted by them and relayed back to the child. If you Must talk with the other alienating parent and cannot do so via a solicitor, keep a recorder with you at ALL TIMES and record every conversation you have parent to parent , when lies get told at court and trust me ...Alienating Parents tell lots of lies at court.... you can (as a last resort if the Judge and "expert" social workers have had the wool pulled over their eyes and sided as they often do with the abusive alienating parent) at least prove there statements are false to have incorrect judgments overturned.
