For me, its better to go get your degree first before flight school because some airlines make having a degree a must. If you wanna get employed to their companies, you get your degree first Even if u wanna go to flight school first when u are done u will still have to go get your degree which is over 3 years. Captain Anya, Thank God for your persistence and determination to continue despite the terrible treatment. You are truly a role model for young people who dare to dream to be an airline pilot. I never heard of any girl (especially Black girl) who even talked about being a pilot.

I was struggling to pay for flight school and now I’ll be going off to college to finish training. Ik college is not the most “looked” route but it’s the only route for me to where I can stay focus and not have to worry about work and other stuff.

Contrary to what general society may believe, a lot of pilots have degrees in aviation and engineering. For someone to think that that position doesn't require a lot of brain power is beyond ignorant.

If you dont mind me asking but seeing that your a captain for Delta which is a pretty big airline. How much do they make? Im trying to get into becoming a pilot and the internet says so many different incomes. How much does a captain or first officer of delta (or any major airline) make as a salary?
