As an American cornetist, the brass band I played with was fortunate to have had the legendary Geoffrey Brand as a guest clinician. Great experiences! I asked him who he thought was the best British cornet player was. Without hesitating, he replied, “Jim Shepherd.”

Nice to see the extent of the devastation and inconvenience required to inflate politicians egos and serve their donors. I appreciate the effort you have put in. FYI, you incorrectly labelled Little Missenden and the tunnel shaft area nearby. Gt. Missenden is a few miles further NW.

Was the pilot deliberately trying to track the line of route with the shadow of the aircraft - or was that just a happy accident!

So it's alright to have a polluting motorway driven through the countryside, but not an electric railway. Let's just spend pots of money and extend the Underground instead.

Incidentally, this is an ORIGINAL brass band work - the scoring was undertaken by Frank Wright "in close consultation" with Cundell - so as to represent his wishes - wishes that Cundell signed-off on. So although it was scored by Wright technically, the scoring completely represents Cundell's wishes. It is, most definitely, not a work arranged by Wright from a different medium.

Phenomenally beautiful tone right across the range - and that high double F ! Wow ! 🙂

Fantastic,one of my favourite brass band LPs .this was the first time I really heard Derek Garside ,absolutely stunning as is the whole Lp apart from the trombone solo the band accompaniment perfect but soloist had a bad day .Senator,the magic flute ,life divine,sunset rhapsody and Coriolanus are amazing performances.Salute dmour also fabulous from Derick
