@@samucchi Thank you for watching. I checked each official website to check the prices. In case I couldn’t find them, I checked @cosme website. www.cosme.net/categories/item/1008/ranking/
This was really eye-opening! I didn't know that prices varied so much by location. Thanks!
I didn’t know neither until I went to Donki last time.🥲 Thank you for watching.☺️

Thank you.😌 I’m also going to visit Kyoto in Feb. If you have any requests, please let me know.
Don’t forget to check out the side streets as there are also many shops and since they aren’t on the Main Street prices can be lower.
@@purberri Thank you for the advice. Is there any your favorite shops? I should check them out!!😉
Thank you for this video. The items were different from the usual recommendations on other videos and websites. When watching Japan-related content, I always prefer content by locals or those born and raised in Japan. Channels like this one are so refreshing after all the Al-generated slop. This channel feels like finally meeting a Japanese penpal or having a friend in Japan. Liked and subscribed!
@@jackcullen69 Thank you sooo much for the comment. I’m still baby as a TH-camr, but I could show what locals Japanese do, eat and buy. I believe that it’s one of the way that I can stand out. If you have any questions or requests, feel free to ask me anytime.☺️☺️☺️
@ You’re welcome! For other topics, maybe a step by step guides for morning and night time Japanese skincare routines, bathing at home, as well as bathing in public baths or hot springs. Shopping for specific products, especially watches, shoes, or clothing like kimonos and haori would be interesting too, I think. The “Japanese Way” of doing things is always interesting to me, as a Southeast Asian And “where locals go” kind of tourism as differentiated from “where foreigners go” tourism would be nice too Looking forward to seeing more of your content!
@jackcullen69 Thank you for the ideas. Those are really nice topics which are what the locals really do, buy, eat and visit in Japan. Which means I can introduce my own real life here.☺️ Thank you so much.🫶

Thank you for your helpful videos :) We thought we might use a luggage delivery service, but the information is confusing (Yamato does not seem to have a T3 posting counter, and the JAL ABC does not say if it is same-day delivery. Hopefully we can find a flat rate taxi instead.
@@kathwilkinson7137 thank you for watching my video. I’m so glad that it helped you. As I checked Yamato website, they do have the luggage posting counter at T3 but you need to drop off until 11AM to get your luggage on the same day. Happy new year ! Hope it’s a good one all.
Happy new year!!!🥳🎉🙏🙏🙏 PS= I had a great idea for a video that I can't imagine anybody else doing better than you: Upmarket healthy pet food in Japan! Where do wealthy, educated pet owners shop for high quality pet food in Japan? What kind of things are really healthy to go from human dinner table to dog's bowl? I'd love to know more about what's on offer in the Japanese market when it comes to pet food. I forgot to visit the pet section in a few fancy Tokyo stores I visited last year and now I really wish I would have, just to see what beautiful treats and nutritious balanced foods are there for dogs & cats. Nobody on the planet has thought to make a video about this topic. All they keep churning out are videos about cat cafes and the deer of Nara. Very disappointing to see how uninspired, derivative and terminally uncreative so many people on TH-cam are. I'd love to spend New Year's Eve in Japan one year. Thank you so much for making this uplifting, fun and educational video. 🎁
Happy new year!! That’s a good one. I should have a pet with me that would be much better but unfortunately not now. I can go around and look for a good treats, foods and items. I know that they have an organic nutritious foods in Japan. Thank u for the idea.😊😊😊

Your videos make me miss Japan so much. I LOVED this upload. Such beautifully presented, nutritious healthy options in Japanese food stores, I miss it so much. PS= Tofu in England is terrible, truly terrible. Japanese and Korean tofu is the best in the world. PS= My latest food find is Shekwasa citrus fruit from Okinawa. There's absolutely nothing like it and you cannot find Shekwasa and Shekwasa flavoured drinks anywhere outside of that area. I wanted to bring a whole sack full of Shekwasa back to England so I could drink it with raw honey in hot water in the morning. I know citrus is bad for your teeth but when trying to fight off a cold it's fantastic and really it's only to be enjoyed for a short time. Natto, I love! I enjoy it with either a bit of Kewpie Deep Roasted Sesame dressing mixed in or my favourite Cantonese style Sukiyaki dipping sauce which has some spice to it. Happy New Year to you by the way! I look forward to your uploads in 2025 and wish you a secure, warm and happy winter.
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 I’d like to say thank you from bottom my heart. I’m still confused that it’s the way I should keep uploading the video, because I cannot get much viewers and subscribers yet. Anyway you always make me feel that I’m doing right. Did you also visit Okinawa last time? We could buy Shokiwasa in Tokyo or other areas in Japan. Shikuwasa contains high nutritions such as vitamin C and E. I wish you could get in England as well…. I’m so surprised that you like natto. Honestly I don’t say it’s tasty but I eat for my health. I hope that you will have a happy new year. Is it snowing in your area? Thank you for your support always.☺️
@@whatsnewinjapan. One wonderfully random day the TH-cam algorithm will decide to put one of your videos on a huge amount of 'recommended for you' feeds. You'll get a huge 'unexplained' amount of views in a single week. It really is the luck of the draw. I'm angry at the same underwhelming entirely generic channels continually getting attention when there are great content creators like you not getting enough support. More people need to leave comments and thumbs up to help this mysterious algorithm pick your channel up. Keep having fun and one day that 'viral video' day will arrive and give you a delightful surprise.
@@whatsnewinjapan. PS= Wow, you can commonly find Shekwasa fruit in Tokyo?! Thank you for telling me this. I will look out for it next time I'm in Japan (2026). England has been relatively mild this winter so there's no snow. And just to clarify, I'm not a huge fan of plain natto either-- that's why I mentioned the two dressings which work REALLY well when mixed in-- you or other viewers may like to give it a try too. I eat natto for the Vitamin K; the vitamin K supplement capsules in health food stores all come from natto. I'm like you with this: I'd rather eat the actual source ingredient rather than a silly supplement.
@ we could find the shikuwasa concentrated juice at organic stores and “KALDI” shops in Japan. I wish I would tell earlier when you were in Japan last time. Can you find a natto in UK as well? I’m wondering that how much you can buy Japanese stuff in your country. I’ve never been to UK, so my imagination of UK is a scene from a movie “holiday” which is my favorite. Hoping that you will have a great new year!!!

Loved this. The one place I've always wanted to go but somehow never have is the big Daiso in Funabashi. I'd love to see what your top 15 must buy items there would be. The biggest Daiso I've been to is the one in Kinshicho but apparently the Funabashi one is even bigger! Joy!! I love shopping in Japan so much. Retail here in the UK is in a great state of decay, which is why the vibrancy of shopping in Japan is such a joy to me. It's wonderful to see such a technologically advanced, innovative country able to do e-commerce and physical retail so brilliantly. What's the secret? Whatever it is, the UK hasn't got a clue.
I have no idea why Japan has been innovative and technical country in the world. Japanese might be characterized obsessive and diligent sometimes personality, that’s why? But I personally like the old style historical things in the uk. I’ve never visited before but I’d like to visit near future. Must be beautiful country.🥹🥹🥹
Yeah, as a British person, ever since November 2023, after my trip to Japan, it's been depressing or empty when browsing or seeing the retail stores. I mainly go out nowadays if there's something that needs to be done, such as grocery shopping or going after a specific item I want. Even then it's better to do it online. Can't wait to be back in Japan soon though!
@@Arcadeus-00 Same. I only travel into London for errand running. Then I zoom right back out again. Not that my local town is any more uplifting. If anything, it's more soul crushing and ugly to behold. Young kids today have NOOOOOO idea what I'm grieving for and mourning, what I'm angry about and despairing of. They weren't there for the world before the internet. I worry about Japan changing due to unprecedented levels of in-bound tourism in the decade to come. Y'know, when the rest of the planet has really begun to fall apart and chaos descends, everybody will start looking to that one brilliant beautiful place to visit. The penny just never drops with these silly social justice micro-activists; mass immigration amongst other things will destroy a place and prevention is always better than cure. When some things are gone, they are lost forever. Stay strong Japan.
@Arcadeus-00 Thank u for watching my video. I have a no idea what’s going on there… because are they super expensive there?? Here in Japan, all the items and clothes are still expensive for Japanese though.🥲
It’s too late. Japan has started losing our precious products, beautiful nature and people due to the government. The over tourism have been a big problem for locals especially in Kyoto, Nara, Tokyo. We just want them to follow our customs and rules that have been kept since ancient time. You might have watched on SNS that some tourists violated to the deers in Nara. You know for Japanese, we believe that the deers are messengers of god, so we’ve been living together. It’s so sad. At least I’m still happy that you had a great trip to Japan and feel like coming back.☺️
This is what I i wanted to know. Thanks!!

Shibamata?! I’ve never got off the station before. The cafe seems like really cool, exactly the Showa era vibe which I like. I really want to visit the cafe.☕️
@@whatsnewinjapan. The other one I love is my 'secret sanctuary', which you may already know: R-Za Dokushokan. It's upstairs in Koenji. It's one of those tranquil cafes where you are requested not to talk or make loud noises. Maybe you can read, knit or take your TH-cam channel notebook and work on video ideas in a little booth with your own personal aquarium to look at (instead of a TV, it's much better, hahaha). If the booth you choose has drawers under the desk, make sure to pull them open and look inside! I think you'll love this calm, dimly lit unique kissaten/tea house too.

Fascinating. I was so excited to see the title of your video-- it popped up on my 'recommended' feed right as I sat down with my cup of coffee. Perfect timing, thank you so much for making yet another truly helpful and fun video. What I most appreciate-- and nobody but you does this-- is how you demonstrate how to actually prepare, eat and cook with these exotic, unfamiliar products that are either regional, seasonal or only domestically available in Japan. So many things I'd be more confident in buying if I knew how they can be used. Thanks again. The bran pickle technique is a new one for me. How long do you like to leave YOUR vegetables submerged to get the best flavour and texture that YOU like? PS= My favourite health food cafe in Tokyo is Yuwaeru in Kuramae. The best healthy soup I've ever eaten in my entire life was in there. I dream of having it again with their fermented brown rice and grilled tofu.😋🤤🍜
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 Omg!!😱😱😱😱you’ve already knew “yuwaeru”??!! That is one of my base to keep me healthy and that’s my favorite one. And more than that, I was supposed to make the video, so I just visited the cafe in Kuramae a couple days ago.🤦♀️ You know a lot about Japanese food more than Japanese. You know what, you commented me the other day that I should keep doing what I like, not the ones could get a lot of views like going viral stuff. So I’m having a fan to make my videos now, and also I’ve got views as well. I really appreciate you. Making the pickles is a bit of tricky because it really depends on the temperature and vegetables. If it’s cucumbers taking one day in room temperature around 20 degrees, if it carrots or radishes taking two days. It really depends. Sometimes we put in the fridge sometimes don’t. We used to put under the floor a long time ago, because the temperature and the humidity could keep almost the same in any seasons. We say that nukadoko is aliving like animals so we need to take a good care of it.😌

@lientrieu2959 Ok. Is it your first time to visit? And how much is the budget per night?
@@lientrieu2959 When are you planning to visit? I recommend you to come here during off seasons if you’d like to stay reasonably.😉
Thanks for sharing. Watching this video will make my trip less stressful
I know how u feel. I’m happy that it would help.🥹
I LOVE markets of all kinds. Flea markets, farmers markets, vintage clothing fairs...all of them. Thank you so much for sharing some exciting and helpful ideas here-- I can't wait to visit more flea markets next time I'm in Japan.
That’s what I thought.😏 Because I do, too.
You looked good in that wedding kimono !
Thank u.😻
My mum used to love flea markets ! :)
Really. It’s kind a treasure hunting.🤗
@@whatsnewinjapan. mum used to like going to car boot sales ! In UK people bring old things to sell in their car boot and meet up in a field with their cars.
Oh, you have such a system in UK. It’s very interesting.😉
Thanks, i was excited for the spices. Please do a video on grocery stores to shop at. Going next year in winter.
@@WhenRavenChats Thank you for watching and sending a message. I’ll make a video on grocery store for sure.👍
@ thanks girl!! Im coming in feb.
Random question what is the first song you used in your video? I like it
Thank you for watching my video. I uploaded this video about a year ago and I could not find the music unfortunately. I remember that I got it from one TH-cam channel offering free music.
No worries thank you for taking the time to look for it! The video was great I just went to haneda airport and thanks to your video was able to find so many things to bring back!
@ I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed shopping at Haneda airport.😉
Morning from the U.K and OMG it's amazing and I wish we had some shops over here, really enjoyed shopping with you and how you explained the ingredients, thank you ❤
Thank you for your comment. I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed my video. I’m planning to make another version of shopping video. Please stay tuned.😉
Nice video, very thorough! I went to Fukuoka once a few years back and I loved it, especially the food. Now I want to go back! Also, thanks for providing map locations in the description - very helpful! Take care!
Thank you for watching my video. Now it might be a very different form when you visited there, because Fukuoka is now developing. You should come back.😙
💖✨✨✨ Another great video. Commenting for the algorithm-- I want more people to watch your videos and discover the joy of binge watching your archive of uploads.
You’re a life saver.😭😭😭😭😭Thanks a lot. Even I don’t know what the algorithms are.🥲🥲🥲
I just love your channel, thank you for taking the time to make such charming, helpful, inspiring videos. I took many notes whilst watching and laughed out loud when you spoke about needing to exercise in order to make room in your stomach for more food-- 😂😂😂. I'm wondering how much a return bullet train ticket from Tokyo to Kyoto costs these days?
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 wow you watched my old videos as well. Thank u so much. To do make some room for my stomach, I need to do some exercises, go to sauna all the time while I’m in Kyoto or Fukuoka. I usually buy a bullet train ticket from the official website, that we could buy a bit cheaper if we buy on line before a couple of weeks from the scheduled date.
smart-ex.jp/en/index.php
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 If you buy at the ticket counter, standard car costs 14,050yen, first class car is 18,920yen from Tokyo to Kyoto station one way per person. But if we buy them through the website, 11,820yen for the standard car, 15,400yen for the first class. But you need to register with IC card.
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 I’ll tell you my secret!!!! Save money for bullet tickets in Japan!! th-cam.com/video/jzJKOKtReLk/w-d-xo.html
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 This is also my video made about two years ago. It might be hard to watch because of the quality was not good.😅 Anyway it’s a video for bullet train that you can buy in cheap price.😉
i really enjoyed this video! i am visiting japan next year and am so excited!
@@webratjen it’s nice. You should visit the grocery store which is so nice for shopping.🤗
Another really good video. Fukuoka has such a great reputation, I can't wait to visit one day. Thanks for showing me some basics to start with. Adding addresses, prices and basic tips on when to go and little extra 'insider' tips was much appreciated. ♥
You should definitely visit one day, the food is very fresh and tastes amazing. Especially if you’re interested in Japanese food, you could enjoy a lot. Their soy sauce is even sweet. You could feel some different food culture there.
I love this video! It makes me want to visit fukuoka >_<
Me too! 🗾⛩🍜💗
@@Isabelleherrera1001 Thank u.😊😊😊You should visit.
A beautiful place to visit and many fantastic restaurants ! It was nice to see that your McDonald’s sponsorship came through as well ;)
