The Cricut Joy is great for making simple and smaller cake toppers, but it has some limitations. Cricut Joy is good for simple designs. It is good for single layer topper. The cutting width is limited to 4.5 inches, so it works best for small or medium-sized cake toppers. It can cut cardstock, vinyl, and paper, which are commonly used for cake toppers. For occasional or small cake toppers, Cricut Joy is a convenient and budget-friendly choice.

Hello there!!! Actually my dear, if you are using Cricut machine, all you have to do is select the MATERIAL you are using and the machine itself will do the cutting for you. As per the times the machine will cut the material, this is also a part of the settings per material you will select. With that being said, if you will be using a thicker material (magnet, foam sheets, thicker cardstocks), you will be needing a DEEP POINT BLADE to facilitate the cutting. You can do an in depth research to the exact material you'll be using to able pinpoint the right tool needed. I hope you'll learn more about Cricut by watching my videos.

Hello Ms Marie! It is called HEAT TRANSFER VINYL (HTV). Basically, the adhesive at the back activates as it is heated. For your second question: it is a PARCHMENT PAPER, this is to protect the HTV from heat.

Hello there! I used rubbing alcohol to clean the cup. By cleaning the cup, it would help the vinyl adhere more to the cup simply by removing the visible debris, fingerprints and the oils from our hands.

Surely! First, based on the video, I typed in the word Eliot and then hit enter and then I typed in small letter I. Thereafter, I selected the whole text and clicked “Advanced” and then clicked “Ungroup to Letters.” After that, I selected the “letter I” from the word Eliot and select “Contour” and hide dot of the letter I. And then let’s proceed on the second “Letter I.” I then selected the second letter I and then select Contour and this time, I hide the stem of my letter I. After all of those, I selected the dot from the 2nd “I” and move it to the word Eliot and place it on the top of the stem of the 1st letter “I.” After that, I selected the whole word and select “Attach” and make it! I hope my instructions/ narrations made sense. Happy crafting my dear!

Hello there. No, they don't, but you should follow certain rules to be able to retain your mug design. Before attaching your vinyl, prepare your mug first by cleaning the surface with alchol to remove visible dirt and grime. After attaching your vinyl, let it cure for at least 48 hours before using it. Once done, there are some care tips to follow. Do not soak your mug in water. Do not microwave and it is not dishwasher safe.
