Promenade dans le marais de San Joaquin marsh, à Irvine, en Californie.
#irvinecalifornia #birding #hiking
Le parc de San Joaquin Marsh est situÃĐ en plein dans la ville d'Irvine. Il se compose de plusieurs dizaines d'ÃĐtangs artificiellement crÃĐÃĐs, ainsi que de plusieurs zones marÃĐcageuses inondables.
Bien que peu ÃĐtendu, ce parc est l'endroit parfait pour observer les oiseaux et faire de la photographie.
Il permet aussi de prendre un petit rÃĐpit de la vie urbaine. C'est un vÃĐritable ÃĐcrin, en plein milieu de la ville d'Irvine, au sud de Los Angeles.
Je vous emmÃĻne avec moi pour dÃĐcouvrir cet endroit tellement spÃĐcial pour moi.

    Thanks for sharing but archeologists have done research at that sight and proved that the Tongva did not steal the horses, it was just a justification for the colonists to massacre them. It was very common for colonists across North America to make up these claims as an excuse to justify their genocide against the indigenous people.

    I have hiking around my favorite reservoir for about 30 years and have never heard this sound...until 2 years ago (maybe 3). Suddenly there is this random, no pattern song mix somewhere in that low brush. Just moved in and set up residence it seemed. For the first 2 years I would stand right in front of his song, about 20 yards distant or less, it seemed, but I could not see the bird tucked away in the dense shrubs near the lake and connected stream. Finally this year, in the morning sun, there was his glowing yellow breast in a wild cherry tree. Breakthrough! Well I kept following the clues which ultimately led me here. I didn't get a recording of him, but my memory did. I think this is the guy. Little gold nuggets like this are why I keep returning to TH-cam. Thanks for the post. ☚

    Thank you for making this video. I have been looking for information about how to hike from Black Star Canyon Falls up to Black Star Road above. Even though you did it in reverse, I can see that the way up is to the right of the falls. I think others have gone the wrong way, so this is very helpful. I just subscribed, and am going to check out more of your videos!

    • @Frenchylikeshikes
      @Frenchylikeshikes āļ›āļĩāļ—āļĩāđˆāđāļĨāđ‰āļ§

      Yes. At the fall, you need to go right, but the first climb is very steep, and honestly a little tricky at times. The view up there is worth it though.

    I'd love to see this place someday. When I first heard about the namesake of our neighborhood park in Anaheim I discovered the house but it was privatly owned or just not open to the public then (early 80's)... Now I'm on the other side of the mountains in Elsinore and no longer drive...

    • @Frenchylikeshikes
      @Frenchylikeshikes āļ›āļĩāļ—āļĩāđˆāđāļĨāđ‰āļ§

      The drive would absolutely be worth it. If only to see Modjeska Canyon rd which is stunning. I guess in the 80s the house still belonged to the family then?

    From what I can read you had great information. It’s hard to make out with the background moving. Humble suggestion, maybe still shots of each of the plants so we can make out a good healthy example, then before or after the description/information.

      You are 100% right. This was one of the first videos of the sort I made, and I now see all the mistakes that I left at the time. I wish I would have done that differently, but to be very honest, I originally made that video at the time more to have fun than anything else. I also never expected it to actually get more views that what I usually get on my channel (I am lucky when I get 50 views lol). I might re-do another one, better made, if I have both the time and energy.

    ive snuck back there once. way cool but they will give trespass tickets if caught. yes our public lands here in orange county are off limits to the public. got me for trespass once and another time they couldn't get me on the trespass so the little d-bag gave me a smoking ticket! never paid either. paper tiger.
