August 2024- this video covers a portion of our roadtrip up the west coast this past year along the Oregon coast. We drove north from California, sleeping near Brookings, OR the first night. The next day, we explored the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor- stopping at Natural Bridge, Ariya's Beach and Arch Rock. The fog rolled in for much of the day, but we still stopped at Meyers Creek Beach, Cape Perpetua, and the Heceta Head Lighthouse. We spent the night near Lincoln City, OR and woke up to sunny skies, so we hiked Cascade Head for sunrise, followed up by God's Thumb- both in the Siuslaw National Forest. Later that day, we explored Oswald West State Park including both Neahkahnie Mountain and Cape Falcon Lookout. For our final day in Oregon, we explored Cannon Beach and Astoria, OR where we stopped at the Astoria Column and Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach before getting seafood in town. That night, we crossed into Southern Washington where we found a secluded campsite with a fire ring, which was our favorite campsite along our entire trip.
