I love butter, but one of the reasons why I like to substitute avocado is because of all the additional fiber and nutrients it adds. Yum!
When I buy avocados, I look for avocados with the stem intact. I buy them unripe and let them ripen at home. That way, I avoid brown bruising inside the avocado.
I want to add that cast iron isn't really "non-stick," although food almost always doesn't stick if cast iron is seasoned properly. I've mastered eggs except for scrambled eggs. But over easy or sunny-side up, yes! I seldom any skillet other than cast iron.
Cast iron lovers, unite!

Pity he's benched now. I hope he gets to the other side of it soon! 😥
I LOVE grain-free options that make living grain-free more enjoyable!
I since tried it! I put it with sauteed vegetables and seasoned it with coconut aminos. I enjoyed it!
Im autistic and from the UK I hope I can get it this time but we have to wait until we get to America. I think the new rules are so unfair.
I hope so, too! I would love to know why you have to wait until you get to the U.S.? If you're hoping to use DAS services in Disney, I've been told they're no longer available in the park, and everything has to be done online now. Are the rules different if you're traveling from another country? I'm so glad you shared this. Thank you!
@@Grain-FreeInsights-wo1qo because it is not possible to do it from UK. You have to be in USA or Canada to do it. It could be possible with a vpn, but I am not sure.
@@Grain-FreeInsights-wo1qo I know its so stupid it's an online chat as well too doesn't make sense.
Have you tried any of these recipes, or do you plan to? Which are your favorite?
Keep your food safe - avoid cross-contamination at restaurants! Your health deserves the best.
You said it! Thank you for your comment. Glad you're here.
Also, watch for restaurants that do not wrap silverware in a napkin and put it directly on the table. This is an easy way to pick up crumbs, especially if the guests you're dining with aren't gluten-free and enjoy bread at the table. There should also be a small side plate to place silverware so you can put your napkin in your lap.
Thank you for the likes, everyone! I so appreciate you!
I went last month and got the DAS pass, but I'm neurodivergent. Cast members were wonderful and helped me find quiet areas when I started getting overstimulated. WDW is the coolest place I've ever been, but it's easy to get sensory overload. I already want to go back though. Truly magical!! I did so many cast compliments, the people were amazing! Fellow guests were as well, no one stared or laughed when I stimmed. I didn't see any bad behavior or super drunk people. I can't say enough good things about my vacation!
Laura, that’s amazing and good to know. I am at Disney now and couldn’t agree with you more about the cast members and the magic. will have tons of stuff to share once I gather back and come up for air. I also agree with what you said about over stimulation and as an introverted empath, I can relate a little bit - especially when it comes to traveling with a lot of people and trying to keep everyone happy. I’m so glad you’re here and I hope you will communicate more as I add more videos when I return. PS: tropical storm, Helen has bypassed us. Last night was dicey, but wow, the transportation system went out of their way to keep everyone safe.
@@Grain-FreeInsights-wo1qo I’m so glad you’re okay, I bet that was a little scary! I’ve heard that they are great during hurricanes. I went alone, which was nice because I didn’t have anyone to coordinate with. Which hotel are you staying at? I did a split stay between All Star Movies and Pop Century.
@@laurabilansky8155 All-Star Movies. We were happy with it!
You can always ask for a chef to find out some of their grain free options
Thanks, Berta! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi, my name is Collin Fossell, and I just wanted to share with you that Disney World has been wondered those places I’ve been wanting to go to for years. I’ve been to Disneyland in Southern California, but that was back in 2010 when I went, but Disney World has been on my list for years, and now with the changes coming with the disability access pass, Next time when you go to Disney World wanted to cast members and figure out what Disney can do to help accommodate me because I cannot see one, and I have to use a cane at all times to help me get around, and I will have a support service provider who will be able to help me get on and off the ride, and yes, I will need assistance throughout the park so next time we go over to Disney talk to one of the cast members and explain to them That I will have a support service provider like for example, my dad, my brother, etc., set up they can help me get around, and help me get on and off a ride, and then ask them if there’s a way how we can make it the way I can cut through the wheelchair entrance, to get on and off the ride to cut through the line a lot quicker so ask them that see what you can work out, and then hopefully we’ll go from there. I know that was a change to where you now have to do a live chat, but, if they can work out something to wear you can do Kind of like a hybrid where you can either call in or do a live chat prior to the visit, that will be a really big call because I cannot see the screen that’s right in front of my face on my phone, and in order to do a live chat, I would have to link my account, and do that all on my phone, and there’s just no way how I’m able to see the cast members space directly from my screen because of my blindness so, if you can work something out with them, that would be really help and then hopefully they can update it as soon as possible to make it. It will be way easier for me to be able to cut through the lines a lot quicker so just wanted to share that with you
Hi Collin, thanks for sharing your story and bringing up these important points! It sounds like Disney World has been a dream destination for you, and I really hope you're able to visit soon. The Disability Access Service (DAS) system has been changing, and it's great that you're thinking ahead about making your experience as smooth as possible. I agree that having more accessible options, like a hybrid system for contacting them or simplifying the process for guests who are blind, makes a big difference. You can call disability services, and when they schedule your DAS Pass video chat, you can have a family member with you to do the controls. You must be there, but a friend or family member can assist you. I will be posting about my disability experiences soon. One thing for sure, for now, is that it helps to budget for Lightening Lane passes when you go. I doubt you'll have any problems with having someone help you on and off rides, and you most certainly will enjoy the ease of having your guests stand in line with you, even when you are rerouted to the disability area of the queue. I had 7 people in my party, and they were all allowed to accompany me. - Note that this is not a DAS Pass, just someone disabled going through the line. I hope you'll keep in touch and let me know when you go to Disney! 😊
If you are denied the das, the only option, other than asking every single time at the different rides each cast member for accommodations, would be to buy the multi pass and single pass tickets. However, as someone who is disabled themselves, I feel like this is unfair on those who genuinely need it and that it will stop a lot of people from going to Disney world as a result, which is sad.
Good news! The Mayo Clinic supports my wanting to use a rollator instead of a scooter. So, not everyone is telling me I'm doing the wrong thing. YAY!
I can hardly wait to share my trip with everyone!
most of the time supermarkets have gluten free junkfood, but i liked the video, some entertainment what is actually no joke for celiacs. but ok.
Hi, Fokfeesspecial. Thank you for your post. Yeah, processed gluten-free foods are everywhere these days! Thank goodness the perimeter of the store (meat, dairy, fruits, veggies) is gluten-free, too. I'm so glad you're here, and thank you for your kind words. Having horrible gastro issues, I agree it's no joke. But sometimes, laughter really is the best medicine . . . as long as it's gluten-free! I appreciate you! Hope to see you again! ❤
I remember when a waiter scolded me for ordering a baked potato because it had glucose. "You're not supposed to eat that!" LOL! He completely confused gluten with glucose!
whole the world still don't know what gluten is because it's in all grains, just different types of them it's a whole family of different types of gluten. the fda needs to change it. everybody get's educated wrong. why would it only be 3 types of grain,?? duh no all grains have it like corn has zein, rice have orzeinin, it's a type of gluten. and there are more. the term gluten free is wrong, if it doesn't contain wheat it only have to say it's wheat free, not glutenfree.
❤❤❤
Thank you, Manyanababy! Right back at you! ❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹
I like my Instant Pot so much, I have two! It seems like I almost always have one going.
I stumbled upon your video today. I enjoyed watching it! I too had resisted getting a rollator. I have problems with my knees and feet. The Drive Medical rollators are amazing! I invested in the carbon fiber Nitro and have been so happy with it. I now always have a chair with me on long outings. Money well spent! I'm looking forward to your updates. Gina
Thank you, Gina! I appreciate you! Have you used a rollator in any of the Disney parks?
No, I have not been there since I was a kid. I have it on my bucket list once I retire (in a couple of years). I would take it for that trip.
why bother, seem like it would be more stressful to go verses not going. The grand son will not be able to move as fast as he wants or do as much as he wants because he will be stifled by you. Sorry I would not do this to my grand kids.
Thanks for your thoughts. My daughter and son-in-law will keep up with my grandson, not me. :) I couldn't keep up with him even if I had normal mobility. LOL!
Since you’re sensitive to the sun, you could rent a scooter with a sunshade. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about an umbrella. Also, if you decide you need a scooter later in the day, you may not be able to get one as they can run out of rentals. Hope you have a blast!
Good to know, Sally! Thank you so much.
We went to Switzerland last October. I also have severe spinal stenosis. I used my rollator-walker to train for the trip. I did great! I have kept up my wal mi ing ever since and have been able to reduce my pain and reduce my pain levels. I used to need a steroid shot every 3 months. I have not needed it for a year.
Your post made my day! Thank you so very very much. Did you use your walker while you were in Italy or did you not have to use it at all?
@@Grain-FreeInsights-wo1qo Thanks. We did not go to Italy. Just Montreux and the Lauterbrunnen area Of Switzerland. It was easy to get on and off all The public Transport. A little harder on busses. The trains And gondolas had doors that were even with the pavement something on and off was easy.
@@jacquiehenry5049 thanks for the info, and thanks again for your post. You’ve given me hope that I’m not crazy and using the Rollator instead of a scooter!
Wishing you the best and a great time at Disney!
Thank you, Pam! Are you also a Disney fan?
@@Grain-FreeInsights-wo1qo, not so much anymore. I used to take my daughter twice a month when we lived in California.
@@Pamsgarden213 well, then it means even more that you’re here and wishing me well. Thank you so much for taking the time and being here.
Your thoughts and comments mean the world to me. Please share your opinion and experiences. Thank you so much.
This was so surprising! And frustrating that you can't just trust a manufacturer over time. Very helpful info!!
Thank you, Michelle!
So thankful for gluten-free prescriptions and over the counter drugs. From my experience, Costco and Sam's Club are reliable and responsible regarding labeling. In this case, they are to be praised for not putting "gluten-free" on the label since there is no guarantee on which line the medication will be manufactured on-this is a very trustworthy thing to do, which is one of the reasons why I love to shop at both places.
I can hardly wait to try the blondies!
Aloha, I also started as gluten free, but kept getting sick. Then I discovered that I am gluten sensitive, from a DNA test, and need to be grain free. I have been trying to follow the grain free diet for about 4 years. I am thinking about starting a youtube channel about my grain free experiences. I love that you are doing this.
Thank you for sharing. How are you now, after having eaten grain-free for four years?
Thanks for your help
My pleasure. Thank you for being here.
Whoops! When I mention Stanley Tucci, and his book TASTE, I say "The Devil Made Prada." It should be "The Devil Wears Prada." I guess I had "making" on my mind since this episode is about food!
For cast iron that needs to be completely cleaned and reseasoned, I've also put my cast iron cookware in my dishwasher and run it 2-3 times before seasoning it. Also, if you bake something with a lot of fat in your cast iron (such as meatloaf), the drippings also help to season cast iron.
Show this video to people who don't understand eating gluten-free!
For those who are allowed potatoes, these carnitas are fabulous stuffed in baked sweet potatoes or white potatoes.
Carnitas are great on salad or rolled in lettuce wraps. I also love to cook acorn or butternut squash, stuff carnitas in hole where the seeds used to be, and broil for a minute or two.
"Promo sm"
I'm not promoting or selling anything, so I'm not sure what you mean. But, thanks for watching.
Having the recipe in the description makes it easier to copy and paste to find later. The Bee's Knees is soooooooooo good!
Thanks, Michelle.
The drink recipe included is for a Bee's Knees. It is also good with gluten-free vodka.
For many, including myself, brain fog, personality changes, and neurological complications are also symptoms of gluten intolerance.

Hi Lee! So wonderful to see you on TH-cam. Looking forward to your shows. You are the one who actually convinced me to try the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, and I experienced almost immediate relief.
