Welcome, Nathan! I fully agree that at a certain point in the editing process, it’s hard not to edit everything out until there’s nothing left 😅 But I think it’s wonderful that you persisted with creating content after filming similar videos that you didn’t end up posting. Having to refilm can take the oomph out of the creative process, but I’m glad you stuck with it - happy to have you here!

Hey Nathan! I found your channel last night and really like the vibe. I hope you have some other videos in the pipeline. I haven't watched the Oathbringer video yet as I haven't read any Brandon Sanderson just yet, but Tress of the Emerald Sea sounds like a great place for me to start. Any mention of The Princess Bride has me immediately interested! I'm in the process of putting together some of my own BookTube videos for the first time after also getting hooked on Books Are Sick and being inspired to record my own reading journey, and I can tell your stuff is going to be similarly fun to follow. Some great pick-ups here. High Fidelity was a big favourite of mine back in my early 20s. On Needful Things, I haven't got to it yet (I'm reading King in publication order and am only up to the early 80s so far!) but from what I understand, I don't think you'll need to read the other stories set in Castle Rock before you take it on. I think there may be a couple of characters that have appeared in earlier books, but I don't think it's classed as a sequel to any of the earlier stories.

Hi Nathan! I was sent by MJ and I'm so glad to have found your channel. The relaxed style of your videos puts me at ease, and your audio is such good quality. My TBR mirrors a lot of the books you showed. I have the same Austen's patiently waiting for me to read them. I haven't read any Sanderson but know he's been popular, I'd love to hear your thoughts when you get around to reading it :) I've heard of Cavalier and Clay, but know nothing about it. I'll have to give it a look! I have the first two Death books by Pratchett. We're reading the second one for a book club but the completionist in me needed to read the first one too 😅 We have such similar reading tastes - I also have The Time Machine on my shelf, but it'll probably be a read for next year :3 Great video! Am looking forward to hearing about your reading adventure ❤

I also just bought a copy of Frankenstein to read for October, can't believe I haven't read it yet. I'm also working through the Stormlight Archive. I'm a 800 pages into Words of Radiance right now. Loving the series. It's so funny thet you showed 11/22/63. When you said you were looking for some mystery that book just popped into my head. It's hits on about 6 genres, but what. great book. It's one of my all time favorites. Love the Vampire Chronicles. Funny enough, that's the only book from the full Vampire Chronicles 10 or so books that I never read. I ran across and red The Vampire Lestat and never went back to the first book because I had already seen the movie a bunch of time. It's on my list now. Great bunch of books.

Love that there are so many classics on your list! I love classics. On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous has been on my TBR for a while. I think I want to get it on audio. Tress was my very first Brandon Sanderson and I really enjoyed it! I'm pretty new to Stephen King. I just recently read his short story collection, You Like it Darker. I think there were 12 short stories. I liked them overall!
