    I took your settings and I'm exclusively using it for ALL of my PETG regardless of my Bambu or Creality and I have not had any more stringing problems. I live in Las Vegas, NV I put rolls in Air Fryer for 12 hours dyhydrator mode (outside in garage....bought a Ninja for $59 Walmart). My rolls stay at 10% afterwards and in AMS...I even put on my A1 mini on the exterior and all PETG Prints are perfect. As I get to know my printers more I'm sure I can tinker with settings and maximise...but you at least got me on the right path.

    I run the X1C. I have just found these settings not to work with the Inland PETG+ unfortunatley. It was a step in the right direction but led to over extrusion with blobs and lots of buildup on the nozzle. Obviously it depends on what your printing. Im sure it wouldn't be as bed with just a box or something with thin walls. I have had to work with wiping and retraction now and am still trying to dial in flow ratio a bit. I also run between 270 and 275 based on all the temperature tests I have done (this temp range by far is the best for my PETG+ from Inland)

    Thank you for the video, it was very helpful! I was printing at the recommended temperatures on the spool with PETG generic settings in Orca Slicer on my Neptune 4 Pro and my layers would not adhere to each other fully, it kept leaving little tails everywhere. I copied your settings and it ran leap and bounds better, I only lowered the nozzle temp from 279c to 275c and it cleared the little bit of stringing that it was making. I'm happy that I can start playing with PETG now! Next stop TPU.

    I have the 2023 version. Works great from work to home. I replaced another ASUS laptop with it as I had the DC500 docking station. Works like a charm and stays charged all day. Running a 32" center monitor with a 27" on either side. It sits on a coolmaster, cooler work and home. For what I do, temps never get over 98deg C. Didn't need it for gaming but it was a return that I picked up for 650 bucks at NFM. Been going strong for year now. Crossing fingers.

    These things tend to be filament dependent. I print with Chinese recycled filaments quite often (they're like $8 a roll or something). Each brand has their properties, and for my case, each roll. The flowrate is important, yes. Higher than recommended temp but print in highspeed is also an ok thing to do. You may want to see how parts crystalized too. In my case, if temp cool quickly, they'll be matt. If they have time to cool, they'll get glossy. Glossy one always stronger.

    • @OmegaSolutions
      @OmegaSolutions หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good point. Lots of different finished based on temp but sometimes it just results in a failed print

    Thanks for this video! My reply from Amazon after submitting says it could take up to a month to produce the report link back to me. From these comments it seems it will be a file for each individual order, NOT a consolidated CSV file, so it will be useless for quickly compiling totals spent for the month or year.

    • @OmegaSolutions

    Ooph. Should have run a ground from your house panel to your sub.

    • @OmegaSolutions

      what everyone says. I have a ground for the garage itself. Technically much safer that way.

    • @jaykool561
      @jaykool561 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry but this is actually far more dangerous. Apart from several code sections prohibiting this, in the real world many people do get injured from using a ground rod and no EGC as you did. Respectively, what you don’t realize is “earth” is a very poor conductor unless you live in a salt marsh. As a demonstration, if you were to grab the 120v leg off your 20A breaker and touch the “grounded” metal enclosure of your panel, what you’ld likely see is the 50A breaker does not trip even though this is clearly a line-ground fault. The reason is not nearly enough current can travel through the high resistance ground back to your NG bond at the main to trip the breaker & clear the fault. As a result, your metal enclosure will stay energized and no one would be the wiser. Good luck

    • @whattheschmidt
      @whattheschmidt หลายเดือนก่อน

      My sub panel has a ground run from the main. Neutral separate on the sub panel in the garage. There is an additional ground bar connected to the sub panel. I also have a ground at the other end of my detached garage for my solar Inverter.

    • @chriscroush
      @chriscroush หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those are called “buss bars” for grounds and neutrals. You definitely need an equipment ground from the main panel. A ground rod is not an equipment ground. Ground rods are for lightning and stray currents. Grounding and bonding return to the main under low resistance. It’s a safety thing. Be careful out there!

    Thanks so much! I'm cancelling Prime after 15 years. I heard something recently that was so wise: The true cost of Prime isn't the $139 a year for membership. It's that, PLUS the thousands of dollars I spent every year ONLY BECAUSE I could get it shipped to me for "free" (of course, the shipping cost is built into the price). For impulsive spenders like me who are also creatives and can indulge every little idea with the "Place Order" button, Amazon Prime is a trap.

    I know in might require a change in design but that handle absolutely sucks. If I have all four full of cards that handle would dig into my skin and be incredibly uncomfortable for anything long than 10 seconds. I realize that you probably have to out the boxes on from the top so the handle has to be thin. But if you made it where the handle was removable 8t would work. Like have the handle off, slide the boxes in, then slide the handle on horizontally over the boxes. Then it would be worth buying. Until then, nope.

    Double check zoning code regarding garages- I know some places require offstreet parking in garages and removing garages can violate that. Also, I would have recommended some XPS foam (they sell big 4x8 sheets at home depot, sometimes 16.5" sheets designed for stud dill). They have much higher R rating, sag less so they last longer and block sound better. You can use a hand saw to quickly cut them to shape from between the studs. For the raised pad, one option is if you want to have a chair base area back there, you could build a 2x4" frame (filled with non-batting insulation(because of condensation)), put some plywood on top and make it a full raised platform that can fit whatever gaming/chair setup. Or you could put some mini drawers built into the side of the platform. Once your kid is about 5 months old, it'll be a great place to store toys for them because THEY WILL BE IN THERE while you do your own stuff.

    • @matthewjohnson3656
      @matthewjohnson3656 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd also recommend getting a layer of sub-carpet squishy foam and carpeting the room. Keeps it warmer/colder, better acoustics, and more comfortable. And when filling in your ceiling, have some raised planks, so after you blow in insulation up there, you can put some plywood above the insulation. If you leave a trapdoor up there, you can store important stuff up there like christmas presents. Also, a ceiling outlet can be a good idea if you ever want to mount additional lighting.

    • @OmegaSolutions
      @OmegaSolutions 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @matthewjohnson3656
