For me, HF is the best classic SF.
Eggsnbacon is definitely the best SF2 HF Dhalsim player 🏆
Que lastima que esos torneos no se hagan en Venezuela sería genial con este clásico que yo juego hoy en día y me parece el mejor juego de la saga sft2 street fighter 2 turbo 👍👍👍
It sucks Watson sacrificed his family for SF2
Actually in HF Schafer used sagat and blanka. In CE he mentioned he used sim
Looks nice ambiance 😊❤
4:05 To the commentary.
Chen’s voice cracks going WAY more ham than normal in this tourney lmfaooo
Insanely serious high level SF2 play. Amazing to watch.
Top tier street fighting!
eggs played w symphony
Nice to see Sim win a tourney :)
When will the 2023 tournament be on video here thanks ?
th-cam.com/video/HCF_gdk5oxI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yhwpUBBYfDLsF5NW
Second player joystick had down-back blocking issues causing mad execution issues. Eggs never played on the second player side the whole tourney. Illegitimate win. Sorry.
Very nice! How did they get to play versus in the bosses stages?
Excellent commentary by Chen.
Does anyone know what the current tier list for this game is?
A tier Ryu Sagat Ken Guile B tier Blanka Honda Dhalsim Zangief Chun C Tier Claw Dictator Boxer the tier list right now is like that, maybe with a few tweaks but there's no great changes
@Munkyo99 thanks. Weird that claw and dictator are above Boxer though. Balrog seems better than Bison in HF to me
@@tamareikjackson4960 boxer has a bad matchup with dictator, but as I said, places in the groups may vary, but they will remain in the tier tho
IMO… 1st Blanka/Ryu 2nd Sagat 3rd Ken/Guile 4th E. Honda/Chun li/(maybe dahlsim) 5th Zangief For Vega/Bison/Balrog just order them however you want seeing as they all share names and are equally as shit depending on the matchup lol(boxer/Dictator is generally the strongest I think but still…) imo they all fall prey to the same weekness and require the player to be able to play to the characters unique style, not make many mistakes and be able to capitalise on there fickle opportunities lol but all that being said they are all very winnable characters, much like in Super/Super Turbo and Street fighter alpha 1
Love watching these tournaments man. I always learn something new from either the commentary or the players themselves. Who knew Chun had an unblockable in this game??
She doesn't have one. Sagat, shotos, Gief, and Blanka are the only characters with unblockables
@jefffisher598 really? In the commentary the dude was talking about how chun's flip kick move can be timed so perfectly that it only hits your low hitbox, and because it's an aerial you have to block both high and low which is impossible
This SF2 Chen commentary is priceless. His SF2 knowledge and history is unmatched.
facts!
Can anyone tell me if Blanka Crosses Up with jumping low kick or mid kick in this game?
you still doing videos?
I think OG Ken could have won if after he caused those two dizzies with the CPS1 chains, he had followed up with standard 3-piece jump-fierce, fierce, fierce-fireball combo and not went for whatever combo he was trying to pull off.
Second player stick was totally broken in this tourney
Damn OG KEN is nasty and when I played him 2021 second rd tournament got served quick. I need to meet this dude and learn from Grand Master
Beast
Where can I find a Discord for playing HF?
This is easily the most BORING commentary I have ever heard... like... ever!
im Pretty sure NZ would clean this tourny up we got real fierce competition here
NZ scene is strong for sure. Caught some footage. Love that's it's on a cabinet. I think the aggro Ken play is fierce but not something that SoCal hasn't learned to deal with. Maybe one day we can see it live ✌️
Hey people where on Earth was this tournament held at? Please for the Love of god tell me and invite me and other people. Add me on facebook or whatever and let mw know. If they never invite me or play against me from the mid 90s till 2019 then they are not that great of players. To be the man. You have to beat the Man .whoooo and I'm still the Man here in Illinois
Follow @SF2HF92 on IG and Twitter for updates. EightyTwo Bar in the Downtown LA area is where the HF scene got revitalized. It's where several tournaments were held, this being the last one before the pandemic hit and canceled plans for follow ups. With things slowly opening up, new events are in the works including a promo Tournament for EightyTwo's newest location in Houston. That is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of May 8th 2021.
I think hiro is more skilled
Has New Zealand ever showed up for these tournaments????
im no1 in nz
Hyper is my favorite sf of all time!!
Yeha mc yo perfect sisisiiiiiiii yoyoyooo
I’m noticing that Enforcer uses that distanced standing fierce a lot with Ryu. I’m gonna try incorporating more standing fierce in my ryu game.
I also like the low medium punch into sweep to create space
@@TheMicahwitz Yes low MP also crucial for match-ups like Blanka. Both Enforcer and Nighthawk use LP normals when opponent's JI attack is too early. Since you play Ryu make sure to check out the CPS1 chains top level shotos should learn: th-cam.com/video/CsjgPB9iYLc/w-d-xo.html
If you throwed all the time where I came from you got beat up!🤣
Hell yeah you did. I play guys online that use throws 90% of the time. Cheap players can be exploited tho.
Damn straight. In my neck of the woods you could only throw off a dizzy or it’ll be your ass.
@@chriscalvert4609 I play a lot of bums online that solely rely on throws. They usually quit once their game gets exposed. 😆😆😆😆
Miss those good ol'days!😢 Good to see people still goin strong on th game!👍
Where I came from if yeh threw all time you would get beat up!🤣
When 82 first opened a lot of us Old Skool heads would bring that up. In this latest wave though, tick-throwing is viewed as just another part of a player's arsenal that needs to be dealt with "in game" haha.
Same in Aus.
Yehaa very Nice tournament😎My Best favor game 90si señor 💪
I love that hit sounds 💥
Great games, guys. Nice to see HF still going strong.
Where s this tournamnet at and let me know soon. I'll join. There not champs until they play 10 people from the midwest. 5 from Chicago amd 5 from New york
@@fidelsolis6070 this is at the 82 barcade in LA. I played over there one night with my Zangief and won some matches. I’m from Chicago and go to Logan barcade to play pinball. I’ve seen good players at Logan play Super Streetfighter. I wish they would get Hyper edition there too because I kind of stopped playing Streetfighter when Super came out back in the day.
Good fights, I fought these guys in a room the other day. Both are very good.
I’ve fought the pharmacist. He’s a tough blanka. My guile beat him tho. Lol
GGs!
Omg I didn’t even know they still held these 92,93,94,og
Yesssurrr!
Those were the good old days
@@SF2HF was.up Homie. Og invite.this year and every year. There's always a tournament with out me. Let me know because to me. This gamers are just good & are not great or Legendary as me & Justin and Alex and Daigo and tento. To be the man you have to beat the man. Wooooh and dude I'm still the man.
you you win win sounds fucked. still good tho. ty
Yeah we totally forgot the webcam mic was picking up audio too haha 😆
@@SF2HF well well try try to to remember remember next next time time hahah
Great battles. Skilled players. I love this game. Do any of you guys have Street fighter collections for the switch?
Ggs!
Lotta Ken lmao
nice intro those graphics are clean
After years of hf ive never relized how broken honda can be with his air slam special move once i played mr.mention on fightcade. That moves recovery is broken or at least feels that way when i use guile. Also guile is just terrible it takes 3 seconds for fk to come out and horrible recovery for both fireballs and flashkick. I can see why mike watson forced tomo to switch to ryu. I still like to see what mike watson would do with guile in hf vs mr.mention honda and or vega though it wont happen since mike doesnt online fightcade 2
Great comments! Yeah Mention's Honda is next level. Don't know if you caught the Kumite that streamed on riz0ne's twitch but he basically bodied all challengers (FT5) and it wasn't until the final set when it was a 4-4 Honda mirror when he pulled out his Blanka for the win. He later said he had to adjust to a fight stick again for that comp. So re: Wats vs Mention, imo it's too hard to gauge because of all the different variables (emulator VS CPS1, sq gate VS hex gate, etc.). All I can personally conclude is that Mr. Mention is the best online HF Honda and Claw BUT Watson is the best arcade HF player still (semi) active
Mike didn't make Tomo switch to Ryu. Were you even at world's finest comics during 1993? Did you even see the beat down at Bama in 1994? Nope. Don't say stuff you don't know.
@@meze9563 apoc stated that and he was there. He switched to ryu when he faced mike watson old story
@@bradfordmcdermott2063 Good ol Jason. I was at WFC everyday, just like Mike and jeff and the list can go on forever. Tomo hardly came and when he did he would just destroy everyone to put his name back at #1 on the board because during that time Jeff was a beast at hyper and he would always ranked 2nd or 1st until Tomo would just randomly come back. Tomo was just too good with Guile, it was too easy for him, he used Hyper Ryu because Tomo was the first the find out the invincibility frame on Ryu's roundhouse hurricane kick. Don't always believe what "Mr. McGlone" says... that dude had to come all the way from Vegas to play at WFC. He seriously would claim Daigo, was like the next Tomo! HAHAHA! NOT AT ALL!! Jeff destroyed prime Daigo in 2004 at FF Jeff took 14 games off out of the 20 sets that night, with Guile alone, and perfected Daigo many times. Jeff couldn't even beat Tomo once, seriously, and I still find that funny to this day. And Jeff doesn't even main Guile! So imagine the beat down Tomo all gave us during those days, and he was a true Guile, in fact he broke Guile, there used to be stupid rules in tournaments were their were would be No Guile or No M.bison(Dictator) and many other odd rules. So again, No it had nothing to do with Mike.
@@meze9563 im talking about sf2 HF not ce were guile and bison were banned at some tournies. In hf guile had 5 added frames of bad recovery on his sonic boom. Charge time for flash kick is like 2.5 to 3 seconds
Excellent, superb entertainment!
