Political canvassing is an expressive activity that is protected by the First Amendment. See Watchtower Bible & Tract Soc’y v. Village of Stratton, 536 U.S. 150, 167-69 (2002) (holding unconstitutional under the First Amendment a municipal ordinance that prohibited canvassing for any “cause” without a permit); Ohio Citizen Action v. City of Englewood, 671 F.3d 564, 570-80 (6th Cir. 2012) (holding unconstitutional under the First Amendment a city’s ban on canvassing after six p.m.). Governmental restrictions on political canvassing are therefore subject to constitutional scrutiny and, if content-neutral, must be narrowly tailored to serve a significant government interest. See Ohio Citizen Action, 671 F.3d at 571.

This was a clear violation of the law. Hopefully this will end up in court. In another note, traffic studies and financial analysis were removed from the growth plan and any prudent person would never approve a plan that would impact its constituents without that information. Has anyone looked into the receipt of "donations" or perhaps blackmail?

What happened? No meeting?

Notice that there was no empathy shown to the those who are living close to the courts. The players want someone else to sacrifice their own health, well being so that the players can have their own social club. Courts should not be near homes. The noise is harmful.

Its ridiculous that they purchased that land just so developers can't use it! Come on, use that money for something that helps people, like rebuilding mcfee road over the railroad tracks. But nooo.... someone had some influence and didn't want homes built near them so they used the city to buy the land instead of their own money. Corruption!

David White is an embarrassment to the community. He is ignorant, disrespectful and clearly doesn't have the mental capacity to know what he is voting on, which he admits it at the 38 minute mark. He is a direct reflection of the FCRGD Leadership and their acolytes.

I was very surprised by Mayor Williams very unprofessional and rude remarks to a concerned citizen of Farragut regarding the agenda item regarding the purchase on the MCFee RD property. I felt that was very unbecoming of the Mayor regarding the treatment Mike Mitchell in regards to the the question he ask to by answer . JMO When an elected official acted the way The Mayor did, they usually are trying to hide something . Mayor Williams you owe Mike Mitchell an apology. I was embarrassed for the town on how you chose not to let Mr Mitchell have his question answered by you.

I can answer the Lady's question on the fiber. The Battery does not have any Spectrum access, not even coax. So everyone in the battery would be new customers. They are using the thought that including St John Court, and Prince George Parish through Berkley Park is part of the New Customer build. Since that fiber will be install already, they can branch out to the other areas at a cheaper price, because it was installed for the Battery. The Preswick Place and Berkley Parck customer alread are customer using coax, it is difficult to get approval for people who are already customers. They will eventually do it, because they need to phase out the coax. Its moving money around. Also, just a note, the battery is not part of Berkely Park, it is entirely seperate development.

As I watch these meetings it has become disturbing to watch this wonderful Town of Farragut being turned into the City of Farragut through the continued emphasis on creating Urban Sprawl with nice landscaping. No thanks.

This is terrible quality compared to the virtual meetings. I can't hardly see the projection on the screen. I can hardly hear people when they don't speak into the monitor. Go back to virtual, this sucks.

yay we need a grocery store on this side of town. such a long drive to the other ones.
