I used to cruise when I was younger, got a few Ollies down but I stopped. My uncle recently gave me this exact deck but in red, with some sick trucks n wheels. Really tempted to get back into it, but I find it weird riding a board like this. Used to ride 36’s and 38’s. But my dad used to ride the Tony Alva shaped decks just like these in bowls back in the 80’s, really really wanna get there one day, it’s just getting back into it!

Love your vids Evan! Genuinely think I’ve watched all your ski vids at least 3-5 times each and most of your skate vids! You’ve gotten so much better in the park since your early days and it’s so sick to see, def a huge inspiration! Any chance you bring back tips/tutorial videos on tricks now that you have more under your belt? I’d love to see you explain things like pedaling on a rail or spinning on/off rails and such! (Bonus questions for a video or smt : how often do you ski? Or, what do you focus on each time you go skiing?)

You should tryout Cranmore In New Hampshire

Little suggestions if you don’t mind: boxes are good for beginners but at the same time slows down the learning process due to you not being able or hardly be able to drop the tail on your front ski, making it feel like you have no control over your turn on the box. Another alternative is stepping onto a narrower box, speed 0 and get the feeling of putting weight on the front leg, then going on a barrel directly. Pretz can be hard to manage when everything happnes so quick, so it’s also recommended to land switch first, just easier to control even if it’s scary
