So my implants from 2001 have been recalled. The dr who put them i. Suspects they are moldy. I have been diagnoses with mold illness. But given how fragil I am I am being told I can’t survive the explant.
In our experience the implant in about a third of the cases has a bacterial biofilm. It is not mold in our experience.
@@breastimplantillnessexpert I just wish I had never had a mammogram. I would still have my breasts and much less illness.
I had checked my Insurance in Minnesota, and it won't cover it unless there is Cancer involved. I don't have Cancer, but I have BII. I have Chemical Sensitivities out of this world. Sometimes, my face and body start itching, and my eyes will swell out of the blue. Trying to work hard to save up ($12,000) to get these 24-year-old suckers removed.
There was a woman who had hers removed. Insurance covered it based on the Medical Coding (Billing) used. It is possible, BUT not everyone will get this benefit.
I just had an explant surgery and it alright just resting recovery is good and seeing my Plastic Surgeon Senior Nurse on Monday to tell me the result! So wish me luck fir tor this!
Hello Dr, I´ve been seeing your videos and I'd really appreciate if you could tell me your medical opinion. I'm a 27yr old woman with IBS (just now started cutting gluten and lactose off my diet and see improvements already) and I also have vitiligo on my skin (very small but it's there). I've been wanting implants ever since i can remember but all the research on breast implant illness scares me. I've been to a first consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon about getting implants and I mentioned the IBS and vitiligo but the doctor said there would be no problem, and there's no possible correlation or anything to be worried about. What's your medical opinion please? Thank you so much!
I guess my question would be why do you have IBS? The second would be to look at all alternatives including fat transfer which uses your own tissue.podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/breast-implant-illness/id1678143554?i=1000657256692
@@breastimplantillnessexpert Thank you so much for your reply! I believe my IBS is caused by food sensitivities and maybe cause I´m an anxious person as well. So, you wouldn't really advice implants right?

My blood work before explant, one month prior to explant did not show any inflammation. 2 weeks after explant I lost 12 lbs of inflammation. I’m now 2 1/2 years post explant. Now my blood work is showing inflammation. I thought that was interesting. I haven’t don’t any detoxing, wondering if this is why
Inflammation is going to happen. How you address it is important. SHARP allows our clients an opportunities for healing outside of explant.
My blood work pre explant (a month before explant) only showed low vitamin D even when I was feeling every symptom. I’m now 2 1/2 years post explant and now my blood work is out of whack. It now shows inflammation, low liver enzyme, hypothyroidism etc. How is that? I haven’t tried anything to detox, could that be why?
This why we run SHARP. You certainly will have opportunities to detox because we all do.
Everyone knows that oil cysts, necrosis and 100’s of tiny hard fatty deposits are caused by even very good fat transfer. Full stop.
I’m getting more mine removed
You were born to do this work! We appreciate all your hard work on this issue.
As a teen and young adult, I was often tested about the size of my breasts. Family members, peers, a Drill Sergent, and many others. I once had two men discuss how they were going to physically attack me because they thought that I was a male in drag. After all, my breasts were so small. I decided to get implants at the time a cousin of mine was getting his Sexual Reassignment Surgery. A Surgeon on his list was American Board Certified, BUT he was in Thailand. My cousin decided not to go to Thailand, SO I went over and had my breasts done. Sanguan did a great job. I have had the implants for 23 years now. I have also had BII, which is getting worse. My body is so sensitive that I am allergic to simple chemicals like Hand Lotions, Deodorants, and Soaps. My hair is falling out, and my memory is sketchy. I am researching different surgeons as well as costs. I will probably pay more to get them out than in. This site has been helpful in my journey to wellness, www.healingbreastimplantillness.com/

U of U is letting me die...implant removal my last hope...bed ridden two years now...lost everything living with my adult daughter..June 11th consultation
My darling, I am praying for you! I am sending you so much love at this time. I understand. I have been ill with Chemical Sensitivity, Hair Loss, and other issues. I have to try to work and care for myself and an adult special needs child to save for the Explant Surgery. We can do this!
Can you make it an pour it over ice ? Would it destroy the hydrogen?
Or add to already brewed coffee? Meaning 140 degrees or less.
Yes, my partner feels that he's also being affected if I go through my explant. Ive decided to remove them but it's so sad he will not support me with this procedure.
That will be their loss, not yours.
This sounds like exactly what is needed. I felt like I had to be defensive while advocating for explanting (not just replacing the ruptured implant). I broke down in my car afterwards. I felt unsure of myself and my choices while grieving the situation. It’s very complex to navigate all this on our own. I will be seeking counselling supports right away.
Talk with Dr. Amanda she is awesome
Post op of breast fat grafting (no implant, post mastectomy), do you use compression bra at all? I am post op and have compression on.. isnt this a bad thing pusging down the fat??? Nobody talks about how a patient is wrapped post op. Thank you.
I don’t use compression bras
@@breastimplantillnessexpert thank you so much
Thanks!
I have been a walking person with high WBC anywhere from 16,000-28,000. Since 20011. I’ve been missed diagnosed with CML with a false positive blood test. Swollen lymph glands on head and elsewhere. I have had many of the symptoms, but chalked it up to life. My question is: Has anyone had high WBC from saline textured implants that have been recalled? I have a consult in June to have an explant. I’m hoping the explant will stop the high WBC and all the other issues.
Textured implants are responsible for the BIA-ALCL cases
What effect would this have on: Achlorhydria? Oxalates? B-12?
I am a 32 year old who had breast implants 6 years ago. And after the first year of breast implants I started having the symptoms of BII, Capsular contracture. I finally decided to remove them, and hopefully I will get better.
It can require more work in our experience.
This is so interesting. In the last 3 months I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and also discovered an implant rupture during a routine mammogram. I had radio surgery at NYU Langone for the tumor in April- and last Friday I had an explant with capsulectomy. Got that stuff DONE in two months. I knew it had to happen. I am watching this channel with interest. Thanks for this.
Thank you for all of this information. I’m so grateful..
We are continuing to ask questions!
You can research and research before implants in 2016.. didn’t have any idea. And I believe everyone should know the risks before implants because a lot of women don’t have the money to have explant.. It’s very very sad..
I am suffering from tremors and anxiety and suspected gut infection lyme and diagnosis costs a lot of money am a believer in peptides 😊
Nice interview
It took me 6 months.. bless you
I hope all went well. ❤
I have had my implants for 20 years and also spent tens of thousands of dollars getting all of the tests mentioned here - every gut test, sensitivity test, DNA test, seen specialist after specialist, experts, taken dozens upon dozens of supplements, etc. I am certain I have BII. If I came in to see another Dr who made me retake all of those tests I would be discouraged enough I would got see someone less skilled just to get them out. I get doing all of that for someone who hasn’t been to everyone and tried everything. But to have to do the same tests - maybe for the 2nd or 3rd or 4th time would send me over the edge. I’m so tired and in such pain at this point.- and I have missed much of my kids lives being too tired to participate - I couldn’t manage being told to wait another 4-6 months figuring out what I already know. Makes me cry thinking about it and I’m still trying to get into my first consult to remove them.
If you already have done the work it is doubtful that much if any would be repeated. Toxicity testing is most frequent repeat test to clarify for the patient what contributes to ongoing inflammation.
I took allergy shots for 6 years and i still have some but nothing like I did Before the shots. I use to be allergic to seafood almost died a few times. Now I can eat it with no problems
That's great!
I’ve been sick for so many years and they can’t figure out why. I’m convinced my body has over reacted to my implants.
If you had a swollen or redness over the breast it would be different.
Is there a link to contact him about air quality improvement for our home? I have allergies.
Plese refer to the podcast show notes
Hair dye, make up, nail polish, lotion, sun screen, shower water, food, plastic, it never ends. Then we wind up with cancer. Think it may be a plan to thin the herd?
But yet these same women say stop eating process foods or stop using commercial shampoo and conditioner
100% correct.
Dear Dr Robert, what type of tests would you suggest to perform before undergoing a breast implant surgery to identify predisposition to chronic inflammation?
Looking at personal genetics is valuable to understand how you can address toxicity.
Where do you practice? Im extremely sick i think im dying from my implants. Nobody can figure it out.
My clinic is in Austin, Texas
Sending hugs and prayers. I hope you find answers soon. Certainly on my own path and struggle and sick with other issues so I feel you pain..and probably your fatigue as well
@@gingermarie3446 yes I am going to a Lyme doctor after my two oldest kids just tested positive for Lyme.
@@gingermarie3446 I can sleep for hours and get up walk to the kitchen and I'm exhausted. Praying for you and all of us we need healing.
What about the capsule? I never got that removed I think it’s still causing me pain
How long after the explant procedure is it safe to go for lymphatic massage to avoid internal scarring?
It will vary
wonderful thank you for such valuable content. I'd love to know what your thoughts are about PRP Plasma accelerating healing of the breasts pre, during or after explant and supposedly preventing keloids or hard scarring. I've heard very few explant surgeons using it on their patients, but it seems to help a lot.
We use Exosomes or the Patient’s Stem Cells
@@breastimplantillnessexpert Interesting, I havent heard that before. Thank you for the reply 🤍
Yep, I have 650cc silicone breast implants over the muscle and the left implant has ruptured. If they will cover the cost of removal, I can pay for the new implants 😢replaced.
Wishing you success in your in everything breast implants.
The FDA asked breast implant companies to do a detailed study of Breast implants and autoimmune disease over 10 years from 2008-2018- 1800 woman developed autoimmune disease after breast implants it was 45% of the participants. What did the company do? They dropped the 1800 woman from the study stating they did look into other factors so they removed the woman (note the study was to look for autoimmune 🤦🏼♀️) since 2019 patients have to sign a hold harmless that if you get an autoimmune disease or breast implant illness you can’t sue the doctor or the manufacturer. Silicone causes a lot of autoimmune diseases MCTD, Lupus, scleroderma, Sjorgrens, dermatomyositis, rheumatoid arthritis system somatic sclerosis and more. These are progressive diseases that will get worse over time. It might start out as fatigue, food sensitivities, rashes and joint pain.
I personally know over a dozen woman who have breast implants and 8 of them were diagnosed with autoimmune diseases post breast implantations. All of them extremely healthy and fit. 3 had them removed and symptoms improved but you will have this for the rest of your life.
@@mcawesomest1 There is merit to this but these disease exist in women without implants. The issue I find is that the patients have limited ability to detox based on their genetics. Overtime we all are faced with increasing amounts of environmental exposures of toxins through food, air and fluid intake. This doesn't included chemicals that are part of products that are being placed on the skin or through other routes of delivery to the body. Once your system is overloaded the symptoms of chronic inflammation will worsen. Having a foreign body like a breast, hip or knee implant can make this even more complicated in my experience.
Dr. Whitfield, is it possible to heal from BII without removing implants due to high cost?
If in fact the implant is a key driver of inflammation then it cannot be resolved without removal. Ways to decrease inflammation are to reduce toxins that we take in through the air we breathe, fluids we drink and the foods we eat.
@breastimplantillnessexpert thank you doctor this info is helpful. Will definitely work on detoxing my home and body and bringing down inflammation with good food/supplements. Working saving up for my removal surgery. Be blessed
✅ *Promosm*
Great content! Spread the word about BII.
Thanks
Have you done a lot of left over capsule tissue removals? I have 5x6cm retained capsule tissue on each side.
Yes we have and are seeing more and more cases.
nice vidoe
I have gain 15 pounds. I work out alot and i can lost one pound.
It is all about inflammation and fluid retention
I explanted 1 year and a half ago, got pregnant right after (so my breast changed) and I just stopped breasfeeding. I'm just now grieving the implants. I have trouble with body image. I wish it was safe, so I would get implants again. But I will never act on it. I need to work on the psychological part.
Continue to do self work. That is the hardest part.
