those handhelds do 6 watts are you sure you were running 1 watt and is it definatley an albrecht antenna as i cant find this antenna on the internet , only one i found was a scanner 25-1300 albrecht ariel ?? 20 odd years ago i worked rio de janerio from north east uk on a 201 with the normal albrecht telescopic antenna approx 5,9990 km /3722miles

Great contact, I haven't been able to test my Albrech yet at the start of summer the spread is very bad in midwest France at the moment, made 2 or or 3 contacts this winter that's all, especially since I'm a fan of a valley for pleasure to copy this one day maybe 73s of 14RC446
