I failed to notice any corrective actions. I understand that flashing is caused by overfilling, by switching from fill to pack too late, instead of around 95% full.

Are there any studies on the fumes produced and their effects on health. Should injection machines be fitted with air extraction.
Hi Craig. All of our mould shops have extraction fans in the ceilings and are extremely well ventilated. The majority of our polymers don’t give off excessive fumes unless we have processed them at the incorrect temperatures so the training and guidance we give is key to all our staff, this is why we train all our technicians to an industry recognised level. All of our materials are safety data sheet checked and the technical data sheets analysed on a regular basis, all guidance is followed. In the case of some of our engineered grades on some sites we have installed machine specific extraction as a extra measure if we were to see degradation issues in the materials thus causing excessive fumes.
