Whatever DOT does, will not fix bad drivers. Teach CDL drivers to keep right with their slow gravel trucks and 18-wheelers. Along with every slow/ confused nimrod from a different state to keep RIGHT LANE. Traffic that can push past 70 MPH without wrecking their car can keep LEFT LANE(S). Apply this to every road/ street in south Florida, and then we don’t have to keep adding more and more lanes to every road there is out there.

This should have been done with flyovers, the current design will be a disaster, and many people will die in accidents as a result. Pathetic

Left turn on nw beeline at the crossover looks too short. The current one backs up a 1/2 mile at rush hour
How about… No. beeline and northlake intersections already has enough confused drivers. Let’s not make it double.
So if you're West Bound on Northlake, there's absolutely no way to turn South (left) onto Beeline? Better remember to use the new 2 lane cut through at Jog I guess? And that cut over left turn from the North bound Beeline traffic wanting to go West on Northlake looks like some really great opportunities for all kinds of bad accidents.

Hello, please focus on the latter plan you introduced with a 5 foot distance between vehicles and the bike lane. There are a lot of people and seniors driving on this road. I agree with the gentleman saying we do not need extra bike lanes. But if you’re going to need to put extra bike lanes, please put a big distance between vehicles and the bicycles. This will significantly prevent injuries and deaths

As mentioned below, the people who live here now and "those who descend upon us" in November don't know how to drive to begin with. Now, they want to make it even more confusing? Dollars to donuts when this thing is finished (3 years from now hahaha) there will be more accidents at this interchange than there are now.

Jay Shapp Looking at it I agree it works. But, Glades is a main E/W artery. All the traffic flow and lights are engineered for bidirectional flow. Moving large volumes of traffic in each direction is going to be almost impossible with a double Uni-flow system smack in the middle. Timing of the lights to achieve the same flow patterns seems like a logistical engineering nightmare. Am I wrong to see it this way? How do you time all the other lights for alternating traffic lanes? Traffic will now flow in short bursts over 95, forget good long smooth flows. Backups will be horrendous! On a good day you can get from the TPK to Federal Hwy. without stopping. Not with this plan! I 'm asking FDOT to show us this same intersection, plus 3 on each side in 1 traffic flow video. Say from St Andrews to N.W 13th St. You'll see what I'm saying!

Flow rate east and west shouldn't change, but you will be able to get on to north and south without stopping either. This system reduces the number of dangerous turns and increases the flow rate.
Florida people can't drive on a regular road. Have you seen people in a merge lane? I can only imagine what they'll do with this. Lol.
If drivers are bad this makes the intersection safer. There are fewer high-risk turns. This system eliminates t-bone accidents.

There are fewer wide turns. Practically eliminating t-bone accidents which have the highest accident morality. It has been installed throughout the country and is a much safer alternative to what we have now.
