Role models have always been important to me. Seeing black people, and especially black women, thriving both in my life and on the screen grew my confidence, shaped my beliefs, and expanded my aspirations. So this channel is a place for me to do my part to shine a light on the faces and raise the voices of the incredibly inspiring black people all around me. All this done in the hope that those who walk behind me ready and eager to embrace a fuller perception of what blackness is may have plenty of people to look up to. Ultimately, it's my channel so my life and interests will be particularly highlighted (art, makeup, Harvard, discussions about a variety of issues, etc.) but the more faces, ideas, success stories and learning moments shown the merrier.
