No Swing Caddie or Hole-in-One Club? No problem!
Easiest Swing only promotes one training aid, and that is the Hole-in-One club. However, it can be pretty pricey. Here is a drill that I think might help you mirror the same feel. Thanks for all the support!

    Are you still playing? I was one of Brian's coaches while he was alive. After his death I left for a couple reasons. I went back to teaching my program Golf Made Easy. I help my students find what works best for them. They turn, since it's easier than not turning, but the method they use for chip shots and pitch shots are what work best for them - not my way only.

    Would you say that with this swing, you don't have any hip and torso separation? I assume it minimizes it, but I'm wondering if I'm supposed to feel no separation at all. Thanks!

    • @amigopheasantkiller
      @amigopheasantkiller 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There may be a very slight separation, but I don't even think about it honestly. I just want to make sure I get a full turn, so if that means my hips turn quite a bit, I simply let them (and this usually means I have to let my lead foot come off the ground a touch). I don't "fire" my hips on the downswing either. Rather, I try to let the downswing begin by first re-planting my lead foot and then unwind in a manner (that I feel anyway) that is unrushed. I know my swing looks violent, but you should have seen it before working with Brian Sparks! LOL!

      @@amigopheasantkiller Haha, thank you for the response! Looking forward to my next range session. As someone who is having back problems, this is giving me hope. Do you know if this method matches up well with a hogan-esque grip? Or perhaps something with a stronger lead or trail hand? Thanks

    • @amigopheasantkiller
      @amigopheasantkiller 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually, the grip is one of the last things that these folks teach. The most important part is to allow your body to move freely and without tension. Once you feel like you've accomplished this, watch your ball flight. If it is leaking right, simply strengthen your grip, a touch. If it is hooking too much, then simply weaken it, as you probably well know. But again, I can't stress to you enough the importance to keep all tension out of your forearms, wrists, and shoulders.

  • @randytow
    @randytow 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If you rotate your head during the swing how can you see the ball?

    • @amigopheasantkiller
      @amigopheasantkiller 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When you make your actual swing, as opposed to when you're doing the danse du golf exercise, your head won't actually move as much as you see there. But by allowing the head to move a little bit, it'll relieve your tension and make it easier to swing the club. Your eyes do not need to be laser.Focused on the ball, but rather just have a general awareness of where it is. Brian Sparks had an exercise where he would have students hit balls with their eyes shut to prove this point. Trying to keep your head absolutely still in the golf swing is the worst advice you'll ever get. I encourage you to investigate Easiest Swing. I am an amateur handicap golfer like you, so it would be best to get actual advice from a professional. But I can tell you that I am a much better golfer since having switched to this method. Good luck!

    This man is so funny in his delivery because I can relate to all the pain (mentally) golf can cause. I have tried so so many swings and lessons and here today gone tomorrow. When trying this method watching and reading I was amazed at how loosey goosey I have become in my swing. Super relaxed and I am really on auto pilot . Really give it a try. Golf has become so analytical. I still watch Brian's video's though he is gone and am still amazed at its simplicity. It looks so crazy looking when you first see it but it really works.

    Just started this swing about week ago with very good results. On one of the vids i watched (can't remember which one) the instructor spoke about lengthening his clubs/irons a few inches and changing the lie angels as well to accommodate swinging standing more strait than other swings. Is there any more info available online addressing this issue and how to do it...?

    • @amigopheasantkiller
      @amigopheasantkiller 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't really have much for you on this point. But because the Easiest Swing is primarily designed for the older golfer, it encourages folks not to be scared of standing a bit taller at address to take strain off of the back. As such, it makes sense that some might want to consider a longer club length....but I would expect no more than 1/2 inch to an inch. I personally do not have longer clubs, but I recently got fit and they flattened out my lie angles which really helped increase my greens in regulation. So that is perhaps the way to go.....get fitted by a professional. Even if you aren't prepared to shell out the $$ for new clubs, they could check your lie angles and grip size and work with the clubs you have. I know the guy I used said he could check and adjust lie angles for under $100. I'm glad you are finding success with this method. I've been a follower for a decade myself!

    • @victorrodriguez-yf9bo

      Thanks for your reply! I do plan to get fitted. I'm 62 and got hooked on golf a year and a half ago. I hit mostly hybrids The off brand Lazrus clubs. Except for wedges I play mostly 9 hole courses with a few long holes. Easier to hit the hybrids strait. However, the lie can't be changed on them. Shot 5 over the other day at a 9 hole with 4 par 4s using this method. Usually I'm a bogey golfer.

    • @amigopheasantkiller
      @amigopheasantkiller ปีที่แล้ว

      First, thank you for lying. I know it is an ugly, incorrect swing, but I appreciate your kindness! :) I am using the Skytrak monitor...it costs about $2K, though that should be going down soon as a newer model is coming out this year. The game software is The Golf Club 2019. To use it with Skytrak it costs $100 per year for their Game Improvement package, plus what you pay for the software (annual license vs. lifetime purchase). I went with the $900 lifetime purchase as the annual fees were crazy high. Plus you need a good laptop to process all this stuff. By the way, you don't NEED the software, Skytrak comes with a driving range and various skill programs, you don't even need the $100 package. The basic driving range and analytical stuff is built into the purchase price only. The software simply lets you play "actual" golf on courses. Yes, I'm still a true believer. In fact, I'm a member of their online community called the Easiest Swing Club. Monthly fee. You can Google that and find it and check it out if you like. Don't misunderstand me, I still work on tweaks in my swing, but I never stray from Brian Sparks's (RIP) original six principles of turning, weight shift, coordination, balance, rhythm, and relaxation (souplesse). Too many people think the Easiest Swing teaches you HOW to swing a club....rather, it is meant to allow you to swing your very own swing. So every Easiest Swing follower should have completely different looking swings. It's been several years now, and I still follow Brian's method to this day.

    Good swinging. On my phone (android) I have an app simply called "angle meter". You can double check your lie angles yourself. I have built a number of sets of clubs for friends and family and I like the app, it is a quick and easy check. I would love to get a loft/lie machine and bend clubs myself and I am always on the look out for a cheap used machine, but not going to pay $2k for one. The reason I say check them yourself is due to the shops normally do not give a crap and think the customer is not going to double check their work. BTW what irons are you hitting? Forged i am sure, because Pings are impossible to bend (Ping uses a mallet and bend them with a quick blow in a special vise) and cast may bend a little but but usually break.

    • @amigopheasantkiller
      @amigopheasantkiller ปีที่แล้ว

      Loved your comments. My fitter actually had me standing right there when he checked these things and was bending clubs. But I agree with you, I once went to a different place to check the lofts on my wedges....they didn't do so hot. My new fitter showed me where my lofts were...I was so mad. Anyways, he has me sorted. He was able to bend my PING G425s. In fact, he did it right there and I saw immediate improvement in my ball striking. I needed new shafts too, so since the cost was going up I decided to move into the Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metals (standard version, not the high launch or pro version). But neither the G425s or the JPXs are forged.....However, the JPXs feel MUCH better than the G425s. While those were good clubs for sure, off center hits made me feel like killing myself. Thank you for sharing your experience with this frustrating sport. It gives me hope not to give up this game.

    Thank you, sir! Love your videos. May I ask where your home base is? Central New York perhaps?

      Actually, I'm in rural Minnesota. You might have guessed New York because of a video where I interviewed a fellow Easiest Swing golfer who happened to be from New York....he flew into Minnesota for a week session with Brian Sparks, who ended up being blocked by customs because he did not have a proper "work" visa. What a downer! So we cancelled the training session, but Eric still flew out to play a week of golf in Minny.
