I did oposite caseback mod on my Seikos. Bought some solid caseback from eBay and now have 1mm or so less height on the wrist. I have exacly the same case also from eBay to build a watch. Need to find crown though as seller didnt posted it.

But you already have a Casio LCD !!! Why do you want another watch when you already have the best watch (pause in the best Jeremy Clarksonesque style...) In The World ! Hopefully your beautiful new Willard will perform much better than my new Addiesdive AD2112 "Explorer". My watch has the NH38 movement but it is by far the most inaccurate modern watch I have ever come across. Even worse, the inaccuracy is extremely inconsistent, even when fully manually winding it every day. I never considered the problems that arise when you buy a faulty watch from China. Postage, import and sales taxes make it far too expensive to return for repair or replacement. Good luck with your watch. Hopefully you do not have any of the problems I have been left with courtesy of Addiesdive.
