Interesting review with Trilochanji of his own trajectory as well as NASC & karmachaaritantra ko barema. The one aspect I question is the statement that "the bureaucracy 'forward looking' hundaina". I understand the sentiment and the very common correctness of this view; however, this too is an area that could be enhanced and gradually changed if the gov't would /could support the strengthening of higher levels to accept questioning for clarifications and suggestions for improvements; and instilling in lower levels the willingness and ability to engage with upper levels, especially in cases which present obvious challenges not foreseen by the higher-ups. There are many countries wherein --with proper and adequate training, support and allowed or expected initiatives-- the bureaucracy can be/is involved in contributing to beneficial bureaucratic changes. I appreciated to listening to this useful interview!
Thank you for your remarks, Ivan. I agree with your points. My only contention is that the government must be innovative in facilitating growth and experimentation within the private sector and other entities. Ultimately, the government will benefit from such innovation. The very nature of the government often doesn't allow for trial and error. However, the government itself acts as a 'university of practice,' investing in innovative solutions. It must reflect on and archive its learnings, which can then be used to solve public problems more efficiently.
I love how you start the program - notice 30-60 seconds, by speaking in nepali, which is very good..unfortunately, I have noticed that large portion of Nepalese prefer to mix English even when their audience is all nepali - prolly a remnant of the Nepalese mindset that speaking in English meant an elite class.
I appreciate your feedback and will take into consideration in future.
Many thanks to Daayitwa Abhiyaan, @purkar mall and entire team for this opportunity and initiative

Absolutely intellectual focussed

Political leaders of Nepal is not serious about the development of Nepal. I have been more than 30years development work experiences through NGO. My bad experience is Political parties and leaders and workers are obstacle for development of Nepal. They disturb to NGOs and private sectors. I have many experiences. Thus political leaders and workers must change their attitudes and behaviors. They must be positive and supporter.
Very fruitful discussion thank you for Preeti Ji
Eye opening! Great conversation.
Such a thoughtful talk..... Thanks❣❣
very good podcast. keep up the good work. would love to listen the anthropological perspective on development and politics of Nepal too.
These days one of major problem in villages is school administration too. The teachers are not well qualified and trained. Guardian are paying money just to step up into another class and school are allowing to step up students easily. In the name of tution the teachers release question of exams so their reputation wont go down. Those who has hardly passed the TEN Class is allowing to teaches in school. The high profilic school students are only in competitive field as those villagers school are not conducting fair exams who leads for difficulty in students up coming competitive exams.
I'm proud to be a part of Teach for Nepal.
Thank you Shanker ji!
The teaching profession in Nepal lacks the societal recognition and respect it deserves.
