As a 40 year + collector of ‘6mm’ scale wargaming miniatures, I would say 2d6 are 6mm, Baccus are 7mm and Adler are 8mm when comparing them scale wise.

What did you do for your water base ?

    • @ericelder2749

I used to base my ships on blue water sheets from the hobby shop. This is what you see for these Italian ships. Under the plastic sheet is just balsa wood painted blue. I've since switched to a gloss gel medium paint.

The missile troops of the period often didn't wear a sashimono as it interfered with the aiming of the rear ranks. The Feudal Japanese horse was actually more like a pony hence they are so small. Thanks for the review.

I alwaysgo with black. Your idea of gray/white as a base color for bright colors you want to srand out more is a good one. For instance, when I am painting a yellow area, I paint a base color like orange, pale brown, etc., as an undercoat for the yellow to set atop. You really don't have to limit yourself to just gray/white, and the idea is the same. That said, black as a primer and base coat is an effective way to go, no matter the scale. Keep posting, Eric. Thought provoking stuff. ~K
