A330 Roar Is Better Than That !

For Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines, definitely the A330-300, aka A330-343/342/341, my favorite A330 variant and aircraft.

I just heard this fly above my house, the sound was quite different I had to check what it was. What a cool plane! Looks like it's flying up to Darwin now.

A vast improvement. In the old international terminal the staff had to move people out of one seating area, then move a folding door to create a departure lounge.

i done this flight in may, also noticed at cruising altitude it got very dark, despite it being a midday flight and was sunny leaving saigon and sunny arriving hanoi, despite being above the clouds for most of the flight it was still dark,

Nice review. One of the great aspects of flying TG before the company introduced their Thai Smile subsidiary in 2012 was that you could fly an internationally configured widebody even on domestic Thailand flights. That changed after Thai Smile was introduced, as well as for those regional routes TG handed over to Thai Smile.

Thai are gonna retrofit the A320 to have a proper business class cabin.

My Mrs is on that flight atm, on the a333 200 and it doesn't even have proper screens. They have stuck iPads on the seats for them to use instead and apparently doesn't even have flight tracking only movies etc. Sounds terrible for an expensive flight by one of the better airlines in the world.

The only thing that sucks is that when the wind direction changes and they are landing on the other side.

I've seen various Euro Atlantic 767s numerous times, but I had no idea they also flew the 777. Interesting catch indeed. And good to see that increasingly rare bird, the a340 here in BNE. I truly can't remember which airlines flew them into BNE in the past. Maybe TG did, or possibly CX? Last time I flew one was Air Calin's into Sydney about 11 years ago.

Nice catches! Especially that retro livery Garuda. I may not particularly enjoy flying 777s (far too much engine noise in the cabin), but I do love watching them land and take off, especially that beautiful American Airlines example. Thanks again for sharing.

Excellent trip report. That's a perfect wing view of a B787-10. They use the Dreamliners a lot on this route, but it depends on your luck to get a -9 or -10. Of course, you can look up the seat configuration to know what type, but they change it all the time!
