I had my son at Cooley this past June with the aid of nitrous oxide. In my opinion, it's the way to give birth. It's amazing stuff. I was in a fog right up until I pushed. I only pushed twice.

Nitrous oxide is helpful during the course of vaginal delivery. It would be of little use for a C-section. You can call the Birthing Center at Holyoke Medical Center and asked to take a tour. They will explain everything. 413-534-2700.
