Some people may wonder how these sorts of mistakes could even happen. Well, contrary to modern times where commercial 3D software makes it easy to animate 3D objects and characters, and CPU speeds make it possible to render most things virtually (or actually) in realtime, software back then was created in-house and used very primitive (by today's standards) and tedious input methods (including numeric input!), and comparatively slow CPUs could take HOURS just to render ONE frame. So many times, they would create the animation and then have to wait up to a day or more just to see a few seconds of test footage. For example, the scene where Buzz is jumping on the bed at the beginning, testing the "alien" surface of Andy's comforter took 24 hours to render PER FRAME.
