Rialta Owners Group of America
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 30 ก.ค. 2017
Rialta Owners Group of (north) America is made up of owners and enthusiasts of the Winnebago Rialta, Phasar and LeSharo Class C RV's of the 80's, 90' and 00's. Hybrid original designs and amazing fuel economy make these units not just unique, but very collectible and in high demand. These videos are developed to help the Rialta owner and professional service person to maintain, repair and upgrade these traveling homes, with easy to understand descriptions and information. Hosted by lifetime enthusiast and Rialta owner Alexandov Corbett, who has extensive experience learned by designing, building and upgrading limousine coaches near Niagara Falls, New York in the 1990's, and continued gaining experience overhauling and upgrading camping trailers. Also a VW enthusiast, he came home from the hospital as an infant in a 1960 VW van, and has his brother Blaise to thank for teaching him about restoring an old 1965 Bug in the 1980's.
Marks Mod Movie
In this next video, we let Mark Walker take us through his Rialta, and review all the modifications he has made to "upgrade" his rig, and make it more serviceable to meet both his needs, and to modernize a classic.

How do I open the floor to open the compartment? What is the red handle for?
Wow this guy loves to talk. This poor lady was just standing for an eternity while this guy gave his thesis on the theory of relativity. Dude get to the point. Just do and not explain. Viewers are visual oriented. Then if you want to explain as you go its fine. Take my advice and you will get more subscribers.
Thank you.
👍
Looks like Alex went MIA after this video 3 years ago. No activity since. Also he wasn't much for replying either on his vids. Decent video though.
Health issues for the last few years and unable to produce anything. Questions have been referred to another administrator on the FB page.
Belt and hoses check?
Get the proper guage..
Check auto lights, turn signals, brake lights, etc
Why not silicone caulk? I know it can be a dirt magnet, but is there a chemical incompatibility with the shell?
Awesome video! I'd buy a Rialta if I had someone to share in the travel experience and responsibilities of owning a motorhome. My favourite years for the Rialta are 1995 and 1996, but anything that runs and drives, I'd drive.
Don't know if there is any updated TH-cam videos for lithium iron phosphate batteries, which are more than norm in 2024. I think this would make a lot more sense as they supply a much greater amp hour rating for the weight. If you were to do this you would need a dc to dc converter as the chemistry of lithium iron phosphate batteries requires a greater charge than your alternator puts out, but well worth the extra cost involved. AGM batteries are pretty dated by 2024 standards. And the system in the rialta It is nothing more than a solenoid valve that connects the batteries together once the voltage gets above 13.5 volts. If your coach batteries are severely depleted this can put a pretty big strain on your alternator, particularly at lower rpms. There are many battery isolators and smart chargers that are far better suited. In general, this video is really dated and should be updated to reflect more current technologies.
his voice sounds familiar i've heard him before either on video, tv, radio something. Just can't place him.
any one ever replaced one with a solar generator?
Does the batteries replace generator uses????? So no generator?
Just joined the channel, great info, thanks.
Thanks for the tips, but WOW, over complicated, expensive, and too much manual stuff going on with that solar setup for sure.
Great job, thanks Alex.
Where can I send my onan generator to be repaired?
I know this video is a little old, but thank you for breaking this down for people to see! Me and my gf were planning on buying an old 1995 and modding it to live in it full time. After seeing this video I think we're going to NOT go with a rialta. Seems like the weight is a huge thing for this RV and us modding it would be too much weight added to even have our full time life in there.
I’m like, Wow…
where ae you in Upstate NY?
Does shore power include float charging for the coach batteries?
New owner 2002 29k miles...where do I get all of your videos or contact you for questions..
We need to replace the seatbelt behind the drivers seat. Anyone have any idea where we can get one?
Close, in the description of the refrigeration system. The compressor does compress the gas, however it does not turn it into a liquid, that transformation occurs when the air goes across the coil. The heat transfers from the hot gas and condenses in the condensing coil to a liquid, allowing the heat inside the unit be expelled outside of the rv. That is why when to put your hand over a condenser fan you will feel hot air. Also, I agree with Mr. Fay, I would be interested in where the condensate is channeled, perhaps the gray of black tanks. As for clearing a blocked condensate line, compressed air is usually the best method. Really appreciate you efforts in showing the system Sir, much appreciated.
Did you hear? You need to use DISTILLED WATER. You can get it for 1$ a gallon, but don't use that go to your dehumidifier and empty the bucket into your batteries.
I would not do that. The water may be distilled in a dehumidifier, but there would likely be some contaminants or particulate matter in that water. Spend the $1 for a clean sealed container of it.
Hi I just tried installing the batteries and I accidentally put both batteries with their terminals . facing the same way . I then fitted the wires according to length. A big spark came about as I put the last wire in. Now nothing works in the back cabin. Did I just blow the fuses? If so, which one? And are they easy to come by?
I have a newer model and a General generator. I do start it from outside.
I cannot find the switch to turn the power to turn it off on the steering column and turn on generator!!
Needed to see how you managed to get the spark plug tool on the lower spark plugs. The tops are easy. No room for the tool below
Great Video. I have the 98 QD.. I have few mods and added the Bruno Charriot via trailer hitch to carry my powerchair…
Has Mark published his photo documentary with the lithium batteries?
I just bought a 96 Rialta with 76k miles ... they said the generator had not been started in 10 years... It took me a few days to get it going but it seems to be working now... I have it parked next to my house and have not been using it to power anything inside the Rialta but some alarm keeps going off and will stop when I start the generator back up... do you know what this is about?
Thanks for the great video..
Someone that knows what he’s talking about
Very informative thank you
I am getting a 2000 HD reconditioned and am very interested in what mods I can do with general 'not an electrician' skills. I can't find your website or contact info for this group or Mark. Can that be provided?
Recently found the channel and working on watching all of them for info. Currently eyeing my first Rialta that will need TLS and probably bunch of repairs. This year i have been working on my 2000 Eurovan body rust repair and complete front suspension replacement. Goal is to swap the VR6 out for ALH TDI with Euro 5 speed. Bit excited for the Rialta if Im able to get my hands on it.
Great generator video Alex. Super clear!
Can you run the generater while driving? kids watching tv and VCR playing games
How did you drain the water from the water heater?
Good video, how did you drain the water? Do you store it over winter with the antifreeze in it?
I didn't hear did you setup your alternator to charge your batteries while driving?
Hello, can you tell me which of those cable is connected to the alternator? Thanks.
we have tried many times to join your FB page, but you all blocked us, we answed the 2 questions, and checked the box to agree to your rules. and we are now block. C Rose and T Imrie
looks like you're in
Great video and tips. I did this project (external only) today in about 1 hour as preventative on my 99 QD. My tubes looked good but the rubber elbow was showing its age. Luckily my interior tubes look great.
My Facebook was hacked can’t acces the group any suggestions
Super helpful, thank you!
Wow. Lots of good information. Thanks so much for your time and effort, gentlemen.
Thank you Alex
Even at age 60, I learned from your video. Thanks Alex. I will replace my back tires 195 index 104 by 215 index 109 and have a spare set for the front.
LANDSCAPE PLEASE! :)
