I had a shady dude put in a new clutch, when he gave me the car it had a small tap that went away when I pressed the clutch pedal. After drivin for a few months, the noise seemed to come back and got pretty bad. Anything wouuld help. Thnx

It's not the pilot bearing, when the clutch is engaged the shaft does not spin in the pilot bearing, it only supports it, but when you are on the clutch the shaft is stationary inside the moving pilot bearing, if it if in neutral, with the clutch engaged the only thing spinning is the input shaft and and intermediate shaft. Either way it would have to come apart to see which and at that point you might as well rebuild the whole thing.
