Man, all the rare previews! The signed ones are awesome. Yep, Skollenbuzz did make it into Aember Skies and maybe one of the only ones that didn't change from the preview. I'd have to look back though

Oh awesome, you got one of the rarer cycles of previews! I think Prophesy cards could be much more subtle than GR. We don't know but sounds like only 1-3 can trigger per game, and to have them actually do anything you have to intentionally NOT play certain cards and instead place them under the prophesy in hopes that it triggers at the right time. Very much a risk reward that both players can plan for (to a degree). We'll see, but I'm enjoying Aember Skies at least

Haha, the 4ish hours I spent on this was a lot but I imagine they spend a little more time. Still, was very fun and I think I got some decent stuff in all the houses. Maybe untamed was left slightly too weak?

Hmm, from what I'm reading that is incorrect on TCO's side. I can see coding-wise how that could happen if the creatures on the flanks are not initially destroyed by the Plague Winds, it then "thinks" a new window of destroy effects happens, but that's not correct I don't think. Pg 12 of the rule book says: "If a “Destroyed:” ability causes more cards to be destroyed, they are also tagged for destruction, and their “Destroyed:” effects will also resolve before cards are placed in the discard pile. That last line for me seems pretty convincing. Since after one boiler fires and tags the flanks for destruction there are still more destroyed effects to resolve, those flank creatures should stay there and take the following hits as well.

@@phloxemall3237 Yes, that's what I thought. I've been left questioning myself since TCO has been accepted as generally following the rules, but the rulebook seems pretty clear cut in this regard, and your video explanation backs that up. Same thing goes for creatures being unable to gain Destroyed effects after being tagged for destruction. Curia Saurus seems to act as if it's an exception to that on TCO. (And honestly, for the longest time I didn't question it.) I'll have to raise a query on the TCO forums, methinks. I'm currently finalising which decks I want to take into NKFL but I don't want to win matches simply because TCO is breaking the rules in my favour. Anyway, thanks for the response!

Thanks bud, I really appreciate the feedback. Honestly, of all of these videos this one feels like it could use a remake, just felt funky for rules that are so complex AND impactful. Always that tough balance between enough and perfect. We'll see, might circle back and just go small stand alone example vids for supplements

Mixed feelings is very fair, there's some dumb stuff, but I've found some really fun things too. I love recursion (though Geists are a bit too much of that), the way this one does it is very interesting. Gonna take some practice though, so many small decision points

Also really scratches that puzzle side for me as there's so many micro-decisions for incremental advantage and I kinda need them all to win against these banger decks, excited to really dial it in

Hello! In this case you actually DO gain the aember. Haunting Witch creates a persistent effect that is active as soon as it's placed on the board (before the discard pip happens), but, since that effect triggers in the After a Creature is played window, the discard pip happens, then the check would happen, and at that time you would have 10 in discard. Their place in the timing window makes discard pips very strong and often able to activate the "if haunted.." text on the cards that have them
