Makita drill chuck replacement

replacing the old, worn-out chuck with an all metal chuck. If you're in a pinch and can't find or reuse the screw from the chuck I used a product I found on Amazon that came in one day and for far cheaper than the actual one. m6 x 20 left hand thread machine screw(pack of 8) uxcell 8.8 Grade M6x20mm Full Threaded Hex Socket Drive Left Hand Thread Bolt 8pcs a.co/d/gQHu0we

Hey this is a pretty dope review bro, thanks for making the video
So annoying, I can't fit my charger in the type 1 box the lid won't close, what charger have you got in your one please.
@buddahfingers I've just got the standard 18v Rapid charger in there. Even with the foam insert and pickapart foam, it fits fine.
@BrihnCustomCarpentry thank you for your reply, ahh mine must be an older model then, I measured it's highest point and it's 110mm, I think a newer one is 95mm, my one is probably about 18 years old when makita lithium batteries were pretty new, I've seen some on amazon maby I should get a new one lol
@buddahfingers no problem! Honestly hit me up on my Instagram @brihncustomcarpentry, I have a few lying around and I can send you one for just the cost of shipping if you want
How do u know when its full chargé. Also does light stay on
Maybe the original makita yukiwa chuck from the bigger dhp489 or 486 would fit that tool too. Gonna try that. Those should be left-hand-screws to fit your drill.
Howbdidbyou remove the chuck
Got it from noon for 34$
I love the color and simple-boxy-compact look of the Makpacs, but had to completely switch to Bosch L-BOXXes because of the faster disconnect and the ability to crack open lower boxes. I still proudly line my Makpacs on a display shelf though, if they ever decide to adapt Systainer 3 then I might switch back
nice work! is this your garage? what surface preparation work did you do to the concrete floor before applying?
Again, another video with no actual tool use. Just want one vid to show an air tool working correctly.
Bought this thing. Absolutely HATE it! Not variable speed so no control. It does come with a nice set of bits but I'll always go to my variable speed drill for driving screws rather than this thing.
how much boss..
I have a Parkside set from Lidl. Apart from the name, it seems to be identical to this one.
Amazing Makita tool review 🎉🎉 keep em coming I love Makita.
Posted 7mo ago, has the battery shown any signs of loss of life yet?
I’ve had mine for 3 years and use it every week for 8 hours a day. I charge it when I need to which is around every 3 weeks. It’s been great.
@@dah4x4could you use any USB C charging cable and brick to charge?
It doesn’t have a charging light so I don’t know when it is charging or full charge. Have I missed something? I have lots of Makita tools.
This is a shitty thing. The best bet is to let it be charged for 5 hours
I have about fifteen of these boxes. I know lots of people are critical of them, and I agree with some of their points. I like having an individual box for every tool or kit. I can just take the ones I need for a task and leave the rest. I usually wait for them to go on sale then buy a few at a time. I agree you can’t slam them around or bash into them, I have some Ridgid boxes for that kinda stuff.
About makita TD022DSE impact screwdriver 7.2v
Awesome! Super informative
Lmao you had a hard time finding this?my brother in Christ it's literally a rebranded crescent tool lol Home Depot has had this exact crescent model for years
Dumbest design ever....no one will ever use this..Garbage
Thanks for vid, I love my makpac cases there light, they fit everything I need and the price can't be beat. I dont need bulky oversized protective cases that are 2 or 3 times more expensive for the work I do.
I'm considering a cordless screwdriver weak enough not to destroy those Philips heads. Does it have any torque adjustment? Yeah, it may sound weird, but PC components and PC boards can be easily destroyed with high torque power tools. I searched for and purchased a cheap one from Aliexpress but this one cannot screw/unscrew cooling fans, just too weak. So, I was looking for something stronger but capable of low torque. This one came out of Amazon search and Makita is a reputable brand. So, I was almost in the process ordering it. Yet, I wasn't sure it has any 'softer' functionality.
If you have a drill you could try setting the clutch to 1 and see if it still strips the screws
You need power tools to turn a tiny screw? Buddy, just use a screwdriver 😂 You're already worried about stripping screws out but you wanna use a powered driver vs just a simple screwdriver 🤦🤦
I don't work on computers myself , but people who I seen do reviews on cordless screwdriver like this Makita, the 7.2v Makita screwdriver and impact, the metabo 3.6v ( Hikoki outside the us) and the Milwaukee 4v . Vessel also makes good electric precision screwdrivers
@@donaldstepp4850 Thanks for the input. I purchased the DeWalt one already. It works great with delicate screws!
@@HigherKnowledgeArts I believe you have never actually worked with PCs professionally. What a joke.
Test ot on the floor. That osb shelf easily doubles the db.
THANK YOU😻😻😻🎈🎈🎈🧸🧸🧸👍👍👍
Shit
U will be happy if you drop the case , and the bits are still in order
pretty sure this is made by gear wrench
put them upside down and pick them up with d screw d
I'll have to try that out!
How long are the nails? Can you drive 2"+ nails? Thx
You think that gimmicky reversible jaw replaces a pipe wrench in any capacity? 🤣 Just gonna slide on you and hit your hand unless it’s already loose. I bought a Klein version solely because a Trane supply house messed up their pricing and was selling a $40+ wrench for $8. Had no interest in the, “pipe wrench,” function but a damn steal for a 10” Klein.
I haven't ever used it as a pipe wrench, but it was advertised as so on the packaging, so I figured that I would include it in the video. Maybe in a pinch of not having one, you could possibly get it to work, but it all depends on the application.
Thank you.
The ideal tool for to keep in your RV, car, motorhome, and the toolbox and toolbag for emergency repairs.
Rebranded Cresent, rebranded GearWrench set. ;) I have the same set, Cresent branded. Well made and heavy all-in-one spine drive set. They work with my GearWrench pass-through set as well (sockets, extensions, handles). At first, I thought it was gimmicky, but they actually come in handy around the garage/yard as a all-in-one set to have on-hand for quick fix stuff... mower, gen, snow blower, fencing. Grab an extra GearWrench 3/8" pass-through handle and extension to keep with it.
Flimsy and way, way overpriced for simple boxes. I got two "free" with my track saw purchase (love the saw itself) and only bought one more smaller box so I could hold my various track saw parts and carry it with the other two (square, clamps, blades, spare batteries, etc.). Otherwise, I'd never get them. They are nice in that they connect to Festool sustainers... not that I have any. May come in handy when I decide to pickup a dust extractor and can place them on top.
Зато легкий, я думаю , что в маките не дураки седят, они что то думали
Sweet!
Out of all the systems this is the worst by far, having the handle on the top is awkward and not having a see through top is terrible, to me makita put zero effort into this system it’s a bunch of boxes, no rolling cart who wants to stack everything on a dolly or a roll around cart that you can’t move in the snow over grass or up stairs, as a plumber this system doesn’t work for my needs
А какую систему можно передвигать по леснице?
You're right, they didn't. It's literally a copied design from a different company that came out with the EXACT same product years ago
Что ты здесь делаешь?
The plastic socket holder dosen't.
How is it on inflating car or truck tires?
It works great, especially with how quiet it is, if you go out first thing in the morning to a flat tire you won't wake the entire household or neighborhood to fill up! The only downside would be the tank size, but if you need to run it, it fills fast
@@BrihnCustomCarpentry I have the 1 gallon version, which is quieter (58 db) and lighter (25.5 lbs) and it will eventually fill a tire. I was wondering what tank size or CFM should one consider when wanting to inflate tires in a reasonable amount of time and if possible stay at 40 to 50 lbs.
In that case, I use an 8 gallon Husky air compressor as my go to when I'm not on a job, I also have the older Makita battery air pump. I just today in fact patched a tire for a friend and filled all of their tires up with just the battery one in only a few minutes from 6psi to 36psi.
Nice job on the video. I'm always learning something new.
Thank you!
how much boss.
Way too much bullshit… 1 pair of cobras will handle all that…… and faster🤘🏻
What really drew me to this tool in particular was how unique it is, I love a multi use tool. I have a shopsmith at my shop and I just think things like this are neat
I can understand that man…. At 1 time in my life I thought my ex wife was neat….
Cresent (Apex Tool) makes this set.. can get em for ~$30
I have seen the Cresent version, but if I'm being honest, I'm all about brand loyalty and just had to find the Makita version.
@Brihn Custom Carpentry can't hold that against a guy..🫡
I always have the same problem with any of my drill bit holders
Thanks for the video, just ordered one of these. How are you still liking it?
It's absolutely perfect for what I need, it's quiet enough that when I'm using it all day I don't have a ringing in my ears at the end of the day, and with the 2 gallon capacity, it's perfect for the type of carpentry I do on a normal basis.
@@BrihnCustomCarpentry Great to hear!
Impressive how quiet it is!
Awesome stuff 🔥
