1 way to bypass this if you're in a private server is to have a second account in that server, and your items won't become lost. Edit: Of course, if both accounts lag out... then... yeah... but another method would be have a friend in the server

for those who don’t understand recently if you put your stuff in a chest and if you get disconnected from the game you lose everything literally and i hate that so much once you go back to your bed you go back to the chest you will find it closed as you open it its gone all of it is literally gone you cant do anything about it and thats the annoying part about rebirth’s like why don’t they just make something to make items stay even when you leave its literally the scary annoying thing that will happen. but yes thats what happens when you disconnect while placing your items in a chest. and it happened to me today im so upset and its annoying.
