Tidying up the Agave Americana and the Teucrium fruticans
Today is day one of my long service leave, and it was so nice to get out in the garden and tackle the Teucrium fruticans and the Agave Americana.

When we first purchased our place here in the Adelaide hills, this part of the #garden was completely overgrown with weeds and had a fence around the perimeter so it could be used as a dog run. Veggie patch makeover

So good to finally get started on the paths in the veggie patch. We have always used mulch which is great to walk on but the problem is always weeds. I’ve laid down - with a little help from the kids - some geotextile fabric to help block weeds and then over laid some quartz rubble. Next will be a layer of off white pebbles

Echinops “Echinops is a genus of flowering plants in the daisy family Asteraceae, commonly known as globe thistles. They have spiny foliage and produce blue or white spherical flower heads. “
