This is about the Tolsen 11 amp circular saw i bought 2 weeks ago. After 2 weeks of using it, i noticed that the blade is not exactly following the direction of the line i made to crosscut a piece of wood. I pressed/pulled, up and down on a blade tooth perpendicular to the rotating direction of the blade. To my surprise the blade had some play. After a further investigation i found out that the axle on which the blade was screwed on was rotating freely in the inner ring of the bearing. It was held in position by a circlip on the other side in the bearing, in the gear housing. So the inner ring of the bearing was effectively acting as a bushing. Instead of making the diameter of the axle a bit bigger and then pressing it in the inner ring of the bearing, the axle was rotating freely in the bearing inner ring. This design is causing the axle to move perpendicular to it's rotating motion and that's why the blade has play when you press or pull on a tooth of the blade perpendicular to it's rotating direction. The other parts of this machine are well made, but on the crucial, most important part of the machine, the drive system of the blade, they cut corners, making the machine unusable for fine accurate work. Very bad design Tolsen!!! Tolsen team why are you cutting corners? Not because the tools you make are cheap, people will continue buying them. If the tools are cheap and garbage, people will stop buying them. Ask a bit more money, design the tools better and you will see people will still continue buying you're tools. So i'm very dissapointed in this chinese brand. I wasted $50. I can't recommend the Tolsen 11 amp circular saw. If you want one for very rough cutting soft wood, go ahead buy one. If you want a saw for nice accurate cuts, look elsewhere. Sorry Tolsen team, you lost it !!! I hope you design you're tools better in future
