OUR FINEST HOUR
มุมมอง 2847 ปีที่แล้ว
This video is a tribute to the three branches of public safety that work hard every day to protect our communities, often at the risk of their own life. Tirelessly working days, night, holidays, and weekends to be there for us in our times of greatest need. On our worst day, they are at their finest. The song is "One Call Away" by Charlie Puth.

EMS Tribute - Angel of Death - Sequoyah Rain-.mp4
มุมมอง 583K12 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my tribute to EMS and the hard work that they do every day. The song was written by a band from Oklahoma called Sequoyah Rain. It is one of the best songs about EMS that I have ever heard.
For some reason I can't hear the music!
Why is this wonderful song not playing normal? It seems to be allowing the other songs & ads to override this song from playing normally on my like music list, It's not allowing the song to play for days now on my device on TH-cam Music App. I don't know how to go about it to fix the issue or resolve the situation of the song. I know that my app has always been kept updated on my device so I know that it isn't the app having a malfunction. So I was wondering if the original song writer could repost it on TH-cam Music for me to listen to again. If they could please do that I would really appreciate it and keep playing because it is one of my favorite songs that I listen to. Thanks again.
Why isn't the song available anymore?
12 years then it was all gone......Messed my back up but I still run "those" calls every night...... Maybe one day I'll "win".. To those still on the job please take care of yourself and your partner! You never know when the next call will be your last. God speed!
💚💚💚
❤
I had no idea being called a hero would be so painful.
As someone who has had their ass saved by EMS many, many times because of my epilepsy, thank you folks. That's not enough, but it's all I can say, because I can't give you guys the world. I wish I could.
My wife is a medical and I'm a driver learning to be a basic and this song made me so proud to do what I do
I love it, it's fire when you're drunk and cringe when you're sober. The perfect EMS song.
Best and true had to do this a lot 2:59 3:01
Thank you so very much for the tribute. Just so you know though, it’s spelled Sequoyah. It’s the name of the county in Oklahoma where we wrote the song. It’s also the name of the man who wrote the Cherokee syllabary.
Thank you for letting me know. I will fix the spelling. The song was and is an inspiration to me. I hope you and the band are well and safe.
What are the chords? Kinda think i know but need confirmation
My husband has been an EMT since he was 17
Dedicated to my husband who has been a medic for 30 years. I can only can imagine what he seen and felt with . My heat goes out to him
As a paramedic in In Ontario I can’t tell you how many runs I’ve played this song heading to them
First time listeniner, I thank you! Im a old retired army medic and civilian paramedic.
❤
Love this and thanks for saying it so perfectly! I just wish it showed up on ur song list so I can purchase it!
In case anyone was looking for the lyrics: The angel of Death came again today Took some poor souls life away. I raced as fast as I could To get there by his side But that angel swept him away Yes that angel swept him away And I fly down the highway Got no time to kill Only the Lord knows if we will win It′s a race against the clock The golden hour is all he's got There′s a desperation in the cool night wind Can't let that angel win again Stop to grab a quick bite to eat And once again they're calling me She′s tired of life and she took some pills Her husband left and her momma died No one left to stand by her side These lonely nights leave a bitter chill No one else knows how she feels And I fly down the highway Got no time to kill And only the Lord knows if we will win It′s a race against the clock The golden hour is all she's got There′s a desperation in the cool night wind Can't let that angel win again Woke up at 2 o′clock Can't stop now don′t have time to walk She ran her car off a bridge Wiped the tears out of her eyes As she tells her baby goodbye Another young soul was lost today Why did she have to die this way I fly down the highway Got no time to kill Only the Lord knows if we will win It's a race against the clock The golden hour is all she's got There′s desperation in the cool night wind Can′t let that angel win again Can't let that angel win again The angel of Death came again today Took some poor souls life away
this song is what made me proud to be a first responder thankyou
These comments are ridiculous. Crying in shower? Still seeing the faces? Really? What a bunch of drama queens. Maybe its my time in the military… but for the love of God… suck it up. If you cant handle the pressure, get out of the profession. Ive seen my fair share of messed up shit in EMS.. but I leave that shit at work. If its leaving you sobbing in the shower.. perhaps you should be working in day care. Jesus.
This song is 100%. Hits home.
Ran a tough one today boys. This song is on repeat as that face repeats itself over and over through my mind. Only the lord knows if I’ll win.
Hang in there brother. That squirrel should have looked both ways
@@Cheese096 🙏❤
As a bipolar (manic depressive) EMT, I know what both sides of these calls are like. Neither side is fun. I’ve seen children die. It’s something I live with (and cry about) daily.
I know what it Like ptsd no game brothers Ans sisters
25 years as a street medic and 21 in nursing, Death comes and goes, Life renews, People love one another don't stop to think about the small shit in life, LOVE is all we have
Miss my brothers. Still remember yall singing this at our graduation. Such a proud day for us.
I love that these civilian nurses are thinking that they have a damn reason to comment on this song when they’ve never responded to an emergency outside of the hospital. Sorry, but as a nurse/EMT you don’t get to fucking tell me you see the same shit that that EMS/police/military see when you fucking don’t. Keep your BSN only trap shut.
And don’t even ask me what we EMTs say your BSN *really* stands for.
I’m an EMT who suffers from bipolar disorder (manic depression). This song touches me in a VERY personal way, from both the responder and suicidal thought patient perspective.
Thank you Brothers and sisters 🙏 may God ride with you all.
retired 7 years ago after 40 years as a Paramedic still have nightmares regularly. Life has turned to death.
Thank you for making this. medic since 1987.
That’s 💯 true! Thank you for all your hard work! I have Epilepsy and they have been here to help me.
i honestly cant tell if i have it or not , i can see the scenes and hear the screams but i dont really get affected a ton besides that
lets take a moment out of our day to respect for those medics who save people
AN update I guess. Back in school finally. Going to get an English bachelors then a master's for librarianship. Come a ways since I was spending my nights unable to do anything but reflect on bad calls and be paralyzed by the uncertainty of having my teenage suicide plans messed up by a body removal. We can recover, you can recover. Get help if you need it, there is no shame for needing help.
Lost someone near and dear to me, she was the one I wanted to live life with. Now she's gone...I wish I would have had been with them.
I was an EMT but I had worked in hospitals and nursing homes for a long already.
Still listening to this in 2022🍻🤙
I like this song RAUL NAVEJAS III say's this..

@ryandowns2169 I did 8 years as an Army Combat Medic, did Flight Medic also and Medic assigned to RANGER BATTALION. Volunteer firefighter/EMT for 35 years and career firefighter for 30 years (retired Deputy Fire Chief) . Reminded of the saves and losses.
