Someone mentioned to put black electrical tape on the back of the lights on the vertical stabs to keep the lights from bleeding through the inner sides.
@@AllanG1914 I believe I did that on my freewing 90mm F-22. I still can do that.
I used black marker and it worked well. Some light still bled through so I suggest the tape or paint

@@garyrussell7076 Currently yes that is the plan, we love the Mesa field a lot!
What I don't like about RC are the unrealistic take-off's and landings. For example... the real F86 has a long flat take off to prevent stalls and loss of control. Almost all RC "pilots" pop off the ground into steep turns. I've only seen one instance of an RC pilot making 'normal' departures. When it comes to landing very few (almost none) of the RC pilots make anything near the appearance of a normal landing... again, longer straight in approaches without all the vertical oscillations. It's not about the light weight or excessive power to weight ratio... it's about pilot skill.
You have not been around some of the scale guys like me.. I love a nice scale approach and landing in my rc mig21
@@mynosycat Thank you for your input, I love a scale takeoff if I have a longer runway. I don't wish to risk overrunning. But yes I wanted to try it at other locations like Buttonwillow. Same thing for landing, we practice short field landings because a few other locations are even shorter than this location. A long straight approach is over the golf course.
