Oh absolutely! My wife and I LOVE bear meat. It's also necessary to keep bear numbers in check to help deer/elk/moose numbers. It's all a big ecosystem that needs attention and care to balance properly

Understand if u kill because you like to eat it. Makes more sense than population argument. If humans didn't exist the animal kingdom would regulate itself as per design. Humans think they negatively impact everything thus an argument to "correct" everything we can. Aside from The buffalo that we hunted to extinction which we shouldn't repeat.... the animals were here before us, they will be here after us.

I gave it a solid 10 minutes after this video, and another 30 minutes after my hunt for the day. Never found it!

I get it. I shot this bear 5 days before my wedding, and we were having our honeymoon trip immediately afterward, season would be over by the time we got back. So I had a few days just after work to make it happen

Not dependable? What kind of ammo were you trying to shoot and which generation was it?

​@@waholoopesorry74, Glocks are only built for SAMMI specs. All the hot bear ammos are beyond that causing failures. They all need stronger 22-24 lb springs & rifled, full case support bbls or they blow out. Plan on spending at least another $400 for the upgrades. The gen 5s DO have the upgraded bbls ( which are match quality) but their springs still suck. Some of the weakest, poorly made springs on the mkt. The new triggers still suck too. So add another $300-$500 for a decent unit. Even the Taurus TH10 is better w the hot loads than Glocks are. And its instructions says to NOT use +p+ loads. I have 1 Glock. ( gen 5) The XDM-Es & the Taurus. NEVER had any problems with the XDM-E. Built right from the factory. The TH10 jams on the last round & has magazine dropout problems so it's a spare toy plinking gun. The gen 5 has a new spring coming, hopefully that will fix it's jamming problems, but the S.A. XDMs just WORK all the time no matter what theyre fed. And all I shoot ARE the hot, full power loads. LOTS of them. ( I reload) Practice w what your going to use. For what it's worth, my reloads are 200 grain copper coated Berry's FNs @1250 fps & they work great. Id have no problem using them for bear loads. I use an old style thick metal propane bottle for penetration testing & water jugs. The hard casts punch through 1 side of the steel tanks but completely shatter leaving NO dent on the backside. The Berry's DO leave a big dent but in the milk jugs only slightly flatten out a tiny bit. (5 jug penetration) The ONLY round I've found that goes through both sides of the propane tank is the Extream penetrators 185 gr. @ 1240 fps. They get 6 milk jugs penetration. The 140 grain E.P.s do make a hole in the back of the propane bottle but don't go completely through. That's in the 4.5 XDM-E.

Yupp! This cat had two does stashed under a tree, so I set up a camera to catch it. It didn't show back up for TWO WEEKS! Must've been my scent in the area.

@@SawtoothWild I carry the FMJ when I’m not in Bear country for other 2 and 4 legged critters. I deer hunt with my Underwood ammo too. The FMJ is much cheaper! Lol
