I felt most engaged when companies would invest in team meetings (especially for those of us working remotely) where we physically came together, enjoyed some lunch and then spoke about where we were, where we are now, and where we're going. Then thanked us for our efforts, and asked for input on how we get from where we are to where we want to be. When we get to participate in the financial success of the company, we naturally become more engaged in achieving those outcomes.
