      I'm sure there are shared components. The "compact" tractor world is full of it.

    Awesome video thanks for posting. I went from a 8n to a massey Ferguson 1433 that I bought in 2019 used. Shortly after the clutch went. I dropped it off at a dealer. It sat there for two years they couldn't get parts to rebuild the clutch and they couldn't find a used one. During that time I was involved in a accident loosing a few fingers. Finally in August of this year the dealer called me he said he's exhausted every source he can't get parts for it. I should come get it. When I went there he said for shits and giggles let me crunch the numbers on a new one. The first thing he did was ask how much I payed for my old one. I said 12 grand he said he would take that off the price of a new one. I wanted a backhoe, grapple, snowblower and a few other attachments. A few days later he called me with bad news. His uncle accidentally sold the one I was going to buy, but he said he would upgrade it to the 2860 for 2 grand more. Well that's a no brainer. Out the door my payments were 700 a month with zero interest. I'm not sure I would have went with Massy if I wasn't stuck with the expensive lawn ornament but I am so happy I did. The machine is a beast. I also added 2nd and 3rd functions for grapple and a Hydraulic top link. Thanks for the video very informative

    If you don't mind, could you give a ball park figure for total cost as it is set up for you?

      In April 2021 the paid $28,800. There was a rebate from AGCO of $1100. Thats the tractor with loader and skid steer quick attach and 1 rear remote. I think at the time that setup was $29,900. I also financed thru AGCO at 0 down and 0% for 84 months.

    Jeff have you got a root grapple for yours? I am looking for a 3 Function Hydraulic Controller for mine. But it seems that I can't get a straight answer on what to buy. Do you have any ideas on who to call? Thanks Dave

      I unfortunately do not have a gravel. I messed up when I bought the tractor I should have had them go ahead and had the third function kit on it when I bought it. I too am torn whether I want to go factory or I may just use the WR long kit because it is a little cheaper and I can probably just put that on myself

    I have a 2019 2706E and i love it!! A beast of a machine. My dealer in NY is great. Threw in one remote from factory and a quick hitch for my implements.. i also have and prefer a shuttle instead of the hydro. I pull a two bottom plow with mine but you might want to be careful pulling a three bottom especially if your plowing deep.

    • @acvfdfireman
      @acvfdfireman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with you but I feel like the tractor would handle a 3 bottom ok. My last tractor paid no mind to my 2 bottom 14" plows and it was 15 hp less and weighed about 2000 lbs less.

    Jeff I bought a 2850E and it had no rear remote. You would think that a $32.000 tractor would. I am very unhappy with Ocala Tractor because the one that I looked at had them. I feel like it was a bate and switch and I came out on the bad end of the stick. I will never buy anything from them again.

    • @acvfdfireman
      @acvfdfireman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's weird. I don't know if it's standard but I was told it was. I paid less then that for mine. The dealership can def make or break it with the customer. Give the tractor a fair chance because I feel it's a great machine. Sorry you got tge wrong end of the stick. If I can help you in any way please reach out to me. Also I'd try calling Massey corporate and see what they say and look at your bill of sale and see if the remote is listed. I checked mine and it's not listed.

    • @VNV67
      @VNV67 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@acvfdfireman I have did it all but didn't get any answer from Massey at all. I really like the tractor though. I was told my the dealer that a set of remotes for the front would be -3rd function installed $1350.00. And Grapples start around $1600 But I wanted a 6ft Grapple with twin Hydro cylinders not one of those that are so flimsy a 12 tree would bend it. They are proud of their junk.. I am still searching for them though. Here in Florida seems like everything about a tractor is High Dollar.

      @ryantafoya3906 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe, I pull a 2 bottom roll over with my 50hp, and it gives it a bit of a struggle in hard soil. I go kinda deep as well.

    • @acvfdfireman
      @acvfdfireman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ryantafoya3906 my tractor with the loader weighs almost 6000lbs. I have 16.9 wide rears so the tractor bites well. I can pull a 7 foot box blade up hill with all the sacrifices down and a box full of dirt. I think it will handle a 3 bottom...I think...lol

    Thanks, man, for the very helpful explanation. Just bought such a SH 86, and viewing your clip is by far much more informative, than reading the manual 😎👍 Just to mention it: since I'm German and bought it in Germany, I was looking for some German explanation first. Can this handle pine needles and cones

    • @acvfdfireman
      @acvfdfireman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've handled pine needles that are mixed in with leaves. I don't think it will pick up pine needles due to the amount of surface area and the vac isn't strong enough to pick them up especially if wet. I've never tried pine cones

  • @tgsgardenmaintenance4627
    @tgsgardenmaintenance4627 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Been using these commercially for a few years & they are great vacs but a bit lame as a blower! Unfortunately they only get worse the more you use it as a vac, as the debris that goes up the pipe degrades the fan blades! For domestic use they will probably last you years, but for commercial use, not so long. That being said, it will earn it's money back pretty quick! Even in very expensive England I don't bother getting them fixed, just buy another one!

    • @acvfdfireman
      @acvfdfireman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. I dont vac very many leaves so that aspect isn't a huge deal to me but may be to others. Thanks for the input

  • @acvfdfireman

    Well so far these have held up very well. I use all the time and no issues. Now after watching Perkins Builder Brothers the denied a warranty on Jamies level then turned round after they seen the bad publicity they were getting and said oh wait we made a mistake and sent him a new one. Id bet they wont do that for just anybody. I recommend you watch his video and see for yourself. As for me I'll never buy another one.

    Bryan Brenner there are no anti scalp wheels but the deck can move up and down on the guide pins. The front leading edge of this deck has thick and wide edge on the bottom which is beefier then the Toro that you referenced. I've never had an issues with this mower scalping. Hope this helps.....

    The Gravely and John Deere walk behinds are identical. So I asked the Gravely dealer what the deal was. Who makes for who? The reply was..."Oh no...Gravely would never do that either way". Yet they are the same. So what gives?

    Jeff.......This is a Great Review.....Nice-Sharp Video and Clear Audio.....Your choice of Recording on a Cloudy-Calm-Day was brilliant......also, You know as much about this Deere Walk Behind as any factory rep......Very, Very Thorough.....and Thanks for the Pricing and Shipment details.......just one suggestion, not a criticism.....if you hold the Camera Horizontally the field of view will be much, much wider and easier for viewers to follow.....and that Beautiful Green Machine will fill the screen.....Your review is So Good...that I would think John Deere might consider giving you a Shirt and a Hat to wear, and they might ask you to review other Deere Mowers for them....You're a Natural at this.
