Great video but im pretty sure its only the outer hair cells, not the inner hair cells that have contact with the tectorial membrane.
both do have some degree of connection, but you are indeed correct that the connection between the outer hair cells and the tectorial membrane is more significant; that between it and the inner hair cells is rather tenuous
