thank you for the video. Here is a song request: The Afters - You Never Gave Up On Me
I'll see what I can do. While I mostly cover worship songs, my current top video is Alive by P.O.D. 😳
Очень здорово, спасибо!
You're very welcome!
Thx so much for these videos they help a lot ❤
I'm so glad you find them helpful!
I've been really enjoying learning new slide songs and this one pushed my ability a bit. What is your favorite slide song and what is your approach to songs like this? Slide or no slide?
Something I determined to do this year is to think outside the box with my signal chain and effects. This one doesn't have anything out of the ordinary, but I used an overdrive I've never tried before. The KWB Drive is super dynamic and touch-sensitive! It's similar to the Heir Apparent but with easy-to-dial-in bass and treble. What effect have you used for the first time that surprised you?
🔥 tone 🙌
@@Andrew-ej2rm thank you!
Beautiful playin bro🎶
@@1robertcourtney thank you so much! I hope you're doing well!
@WorshipGuitarResources Thank you, I am and hope you are as well.
@ 👍
I've got a used my Epiphone Les Paul yesterday for a church youth band jam, I used a light overdrive tone with dotted eighth and it cleans up nicely on neck pickup for volume swell and cuts through on the bridge for breakdowns
That's awesome! They're great guitars!
Thank you for the guitar playthrough! I truly appreciate your work. I wanted to ask if you could consider making playthroughs of newly released songs. I mention this because I’ve noticed that you are one of the few who create guitar playthroughs of new songs with tabs (like you did for the song God Did). While there are many videos for older songs from other TH-camrs, finding playthroughs for new songs is quite difficult. Regardless, I’m grateful for your efforts. Keep praising the Lord and inspiring fellow musicians! 😊🙌
I plan on doing them for all songs going forward 👍
@@WorshipGuitarResources looking forward to it

This song was a challenge for me but so rewarding when it all came together! Not only is this one a blast to play, but the message of God's grace is so well-worded in the lyrics. What are some not-so-mainstream worship songs that your church sings?
Thank you so much! This makes learning the songs before Sunday so much easier!
@@anakinpotter70 I'm happy to help! 👍
This isn't a baritone hack at all, like, at all. You're just adding some low end freq to the guitar. Call it a beefy low end hack or something, but it ain't a baritone hack - at all. There is only one baritone hack, and that's a drop pedal.
@@SenseiKreese to each his own. It works for me and with the tools I have at my disposal, it provides a chance to fill different frequencies in a mix with another player. The drop pedal is great if you got one. But I don't 👍
@@WorshipGuitarResources I didn't say it wasn't a good hack or anything - it's just not a baritone hack - at all. You're selling it wrong, basically.
Wonderful! ✨
@@ORDINAL_SCALE thank you!
Are you gonna make this patch available in your store for the helix?
Hi, the presets are available here bit.ly/BaritoneHackPresets 👍
I was looking for the hard-fought halliuhia song in the US but it says that's its not for the US anymore is there a way you could repost it at all? If not that's okay
Thank you so much for letting me know! I'll repost it today and see if it stays up.
Unfortunately, the song is fully copyrighted, and TH-cam won't allow the repost.
@WorshipGuitarResources it's okay thank you for trying to help :) have a good day and God bless you and your TH-cam channel
@@AliannaDavis-h7d You bet. I may try to do a full tutorial for this one walking through each part but not using the original song in the background. That may work.
Are you gonna make this into a patch where we can purchase
I've used this several times and thought it would be fun to share. I'd love to have a baritone guitar, but until then, I can get by with this. Do you have a Baritone? Does this come anywhere close?
Hey bro you want to a collab with me on a Christian Gospel Song. I play drums
@ItzJaz2500 thank you so much for reaching out! My schedule is pretty packed for the foreseeable future but I'll reach out when things open up a bit 👍
You using the Poly Capo on the stomp?
@@mSarimaa no. Just the simple pitch. It's set with a low mix and I'm playing single notes. Although, with that low mix and the overdrive I'm running, I could play power chords with no issues 👍
While it isn't my flavor, I can appreciate the clarity and timing. Nicely done. One small suggestion, bring the level of your backing track up just a little and the solo down just a touch, it is just a little overpowering.
Oh this is sexy
That PRS sounds so great
I agree! It belongs to a friend and is the best sounding humbucker guitar I've played!
What kind of pickups are you using thorough out the song? Bridge? Or your switching throughout the song
I stay on the bridge pickup for this one. On the cover video, I had the toggle in the middle position, but I rolled the volume back on the neck pickup to give me a beefier bridge tone. You could use the bridge pickup through the first part of the song, switch to a middle position for the bridge, then kick it back to the bridge for the interlude after the bridge. This would help bump the interlude for a bigger moment in the song 👍
This one isn't too complicated and so fun to play! The effects really make this one come alive! What is a song that you would say is made by the effects?
I love these tones! From the Super Reverb to the bouncing reverb tank sound, it's all so good! What is your go-to amp setup?
I forgot to mention the snapshots on the Helix includes SS1 + Chorus. I used this for the 2nd verse section.
Hello! How did you make the finish on the back clear like that?
@@alexgadea9059 this guitar actually started out transparent blue. I sanded it down to the wood and painted it with Gibson correct nitrocellulose black lacquer and then I clear coated it with a vintage clear nitrocellulose lacquer that has an aged yellow tint to it. It's pretty subtle on the black, but I used it on the neck for my Strat and Custom Deluxe Tele as well 👍
That's a cool tone! And good tab work sir, I Subscribed👍
Thank you so much for your kind words and for subscribing!
Quick side note, I forgot to note the change to SS1 with Chorus for the 2nd verse section. I had a song planned for this week but when this song dropped I suddenly had other plans 🤣 I love the palm-muted chords in the verses and that huge sound for the chorus was fun to dial in! I've been in a season in my life where I'm seeing God's hand actively guiding and providing. This song hit close to home ❤
Show fingerboard close up. Use amp. Show tab...
@@MegaGarmonbozia I'll see what I can do. The tabs are on the cover video and the tones are in the tone demo. I wanted to focus on the parts on this one. Sometimes editing can take too much time and the project gets skipped.
@@MegaGarmonbozia this is actually a really good idea. I'll try it on the next one 👍
I love the challenge this song gave me! It's a bit out of my wheelhouse but once I figured out the chord shapes, it all came together. Also, these tones are a blast to play! If you're interested, you can get the song resources here bit.ly/ThatsMyKingSongResources 👍
Noice 😁👍
Thank you so much!
I love this sound. If the keys players are really jammin I’ll add octave up @ about 18 Ms delay, maybe detuned @ 0.5
I love it! A good keys player can allow us to be a bit more creative with our tones for sure 👍
Like I've said before, I prefer overdriven tones, but this clean tone was a lot of fun to play! The Super Reverb gave me a lively clean tone set just before the edge of breakup. I guess you could call it the edge of the edge of breakup 🤣What is your go-to set-up for clean tones?
This was a fun one to figure out and dial in. The player on EG1 is so fluid and smooth with every note! I loved the percussive tone from the cranked compressor, and the use of Chorus with the clean base tone added a lot to the parts. What is your approach to parts and tones like this?
Sounds like it should to me. The super reverb is rapidly becoming my most used model in helix
Thank you so much! The Super Reverb is my go-to. So versatile!
I am an acoustic guitar worship leader. I have been considering a purchase of a Cole Clark Humbucker. I have received a recommendation for the HX Stomp. How might I use this tool without being overly distracted by it. I want to remain a primary acoustic player who can now get the benefits of electric tones.
One of the great things bout the Stomp is its versatility. It wouldn't be difficult at all to set up 1 preset for an entire service. With Snapshots, you have 3 different tones, giving you enough options to play along with huge dynamic parts as well as more ambient, intimate moments. The 3 foot switches are easy to set up and use. When I cover the rhythm parts of a song, I rarely use more than 2 Snapshots. I hope this helps!
2024 was quite a year with a lot of ups and downs. While challenges don't feel so good at the moment, when we take the time to look back on where we've been and see the things God has done, it can quickly change our perspective. Looking forward, what are you looking forward to in 2025?
Awesome dude!
@@messenger.divinelight thank you so much!
I would have you play on a worship team any weekend!
Thank you!
I have a peavey predator ax and a Peavey vypyr 30. Going to mod the guitar some. Dig the channel
I was in a band in the late 90's and the singer had a Predator. Great guitars! The Vyper is a great platform with onboard effects! You're well on your way 👍
WOW! I just got a "new" to me guitar and been excited to learn but I'm 42 now and actually don't really listen to the heavy metal or rock music I did as a teen. I was thinking the other day I wish I could play more positive music and then this short pops up out of no where!. Subscribed immediately
That's awesome! Welcome, and I hope you enjoy the process of learning and playing!
I’ll say the first one high drive and comp thanks man I’m gonna try this when I get home
Awesome! Enjoy 👍
I definitely prefer the high drive, high comp! Great tone!!
@@blakesutherland798 I agree 👍 Thank you!
How has worship music become the most soulless music out there I’ve used to be great when it was traditional simple gospel.
I would have to disagree on that one. The power of any music is in the heart of the listener. I hope you're able to see through genre and marketing and connect with the Lord in a personal and meaningful way.
Using my HSS Strat, my clean tone approach is similar, but I do Matchstick ch 2 with gain @ 1.3, cut @ 7ish, presence @ 5.5. I have the minotaur always-on with 0.5/4.5/7.2 for a little push. I do run a cali76 blended 75% before I go into the POD Go, so I suppose that’s my biggest trick for great cleans :)
@@jash500 nice! Your setup sounds good! I'm gonna check that out when I have a chance 👍
@ thank you! Had to dial in my pickup heights and set the compressor attack kinda sensitive too. Gives the neck and neck+middle a nice snap and chime.
@@jash500 Pickup height has a surprisingly significant affect on the tone 👍
When I started building this preset I ran the drive low but it was lacking something. Then I remembered a hack where you use high compression to smooth out an overdriven tone and it gave me the thing I was missing! Do you have a trick for dialing in dynamic clean tones?
how you make the bridge pickup that fat?
@@gabrielbruno747 I rolled the tone back to around 3 or 4 👍
wow thats good
@@gabrielbruno747 thank you!
Another thing I also noticed was that I believe the song runs at 84bpm, and you have it at 72bpm in the Helix patch.
@@sandificus thank you for letting me know! I'll be sure to correct that 👍
