I've had Dobermans, and they're great dogs. From watching the behavior of the dog, he definitely belonged to someone. I hope the foster doesn't just keep him in the garage, but allows him in to the home. Dobes are not for everyone. They're among the most intelligent of dog breeds and you need to be a firm but loving owner. This breed, like the German Shepherds I have now, look to their owner as their protector and leader, and when they sense you're neither, they'll take over and start running you. I hope this boy finds a wonderful home and that the adopters are well-vetted before they're allowed to adopt. He'll be a great dog for the right person. Hoping, maybe, another foster fail?

I'm stunned that a beautiful, pure breed Doberman has no chip. That dog costs between $2.000 and $3,000 dollars as a pup, has cropped ears and a docked tail ( $500.00). Yet owner never bothered to spend 30 bucks to have him chipped.

I know someone who adopted a stray skinny one-year-old dog that had the runs, to make a long story short, he's possibly allergic to protein in dog food, he was put on z/d dog food and pumpkin pie filling and seven weeks later stools seem normal, but he has to stay on z/d from now on ,he might have had the runs his whole life until now. they will try to wean him off the pumpkin eventually

German Shepards. My favourite breed. So easy to train, so smart, so willing and such fun. I feel so sad for the aggressive ones. The owners did not put in the work.

I never knew Pekes were so attentive and friendly.

My dog will grab sticks or bones or crap on a walk and will not drop them for treats, even though she will do most things for treats.
